If you can't be bothered to understand what I'm talking about then don't bother replying. It's insulting to my intelligence.

I don't know why we are comparing Bane to Japanese swordsmen. Isn't that a bit different? Supposedly, most special forces soldiers are smaller than average height. But Bane is supposed to be a sentient representation of overwhelming physical force. The concept is represented much better by a big, muscular guy.
I think Nolan will achieve this by shoving the camera behind Hardy's ass, anyway.

Musashi and Hanzo were more than just swordsmen. They were masters of the Art of War, hand-to-hand combat, strategy, espionage, psychology, etc.
Does Bane not specialize in the same field(s)?
While Bane does represent an overwhelming force, size does not need to be a factor. The task is usually what is measured -- not the size of man.

His point was that the character of Bane has always been someone who represents that age old "Goliath" fear. The mastermind fighter that's also the pinnacle of human size and power. You are right, size does not need to be a factor in a person of great skill or power. But Bane is a character that specifically plays up the aspect of size. It's part of who and what he is. To ignore it would be frankly....silly.
Because if you wanted a Bat-villain that was a masterful fighter and you weren't really bother about size, why not use Lady Deathstrike? Or Deathstroke.
Being psychically intimidating has always been a part of the character of Bane. The same way the clown motif has always been a part of the Joker.
LOL its cool, thanks though![]()
Just kidding. It's pretty cool, plus I couldn't do it better. I'm a total photoshop noob.
