The Dark Knight Rises Tom Hardy as Bane XI

How can people say the movie will suck because of a british accent and one photo a year before the film comes out? :cwink:

It's better than tattooing your obsession without knowing how it's going to turn out. I just feel sorry for these people because they could very well regret it some day.

Say what you want about the movie, the quality of the artwork here is actually pretty impressive. If I didn't associate those characters with horrible painful memories from my youth I would think this was pretty kick-ass. I probably would have left out Freeze though. And positioned it somewhere else.

Correct. That is some sick artwork.

This is the the mentality of the whole Bane voice issue . [YT]vL1t78cMa6k[/YT]

Can someone quote me a post where someone said "This movie will suck because of Tom Hardy's voice"

Actions speak louder than words and this man has broken the bat, helped homicidal inmates escape from prison and looks as if he make Joker seem like he came out of Barnum and Baileys. How anyone can complain about all this while simply focusing on a voice that sounds more Winston Churchhill than dying old man... is just beyond me.

Why the hell does Nolan always have to have some stupid technological device in all his bat films?! BB: Microwave emitter TDK: sonar TDKR: earthquake machine

WTF?!

Wait, what? There's an earthquake machine?

Who cares if he does?

Nah, it's a rumor that raging fans are taking as fact so that they can **** on the film just a small bit more.

Is the "earthquake machine" a strong possibility? Im kind of surprised. I mean theres only so many ways this could not seem almost identical to the microwave emitter, at least storytelling wise.

Earthquake machine? That's like something from Batman Beyond with that one weird Earthquake villain dude.

Actually, I think this was when Tom announced the raffle winner for the car!

Lol.

Oh yeah, I read about that in the Pittsburgh thread. :awesome:

Still, I don't think he went sleeveless just to announce the winner of the car.

Or did he? :wow:

Judging by the teaser poster, which has skyscrapers crumbling, I'll take a stab in the dark and say yes. (!)

It was hard work reading out that winner, so maybe it was just for that.

Batman '66: Dehydrator
Batman: Maybe the exception, unless I'm missing one.
Batman Returns: Penguin missiles.
Batman Forever: Mind-reading machine.
Batman and Robin: I don't remember.
Batman Begins: Microwave Emitter
The Dark Knight: Sonar
The Dark Knight Rises: Earthquake Machine

Fancy creations as major parts of the plot are kind of a Batman tradition.

Batman '89 had Joker gas. Batman & Robin used diamonds for a super ice ray.

Batman '66: Dehydrator
Batman: Smylex.
Batman Returns: Penguin missiles.
Batman Forever: Mind-reading machine.
Batman and Robin: Ice and killer plants.
Batman Begins: Microwave Emitter
The Dark Knight: Sonar
The Dark Knight Rises: Earthquake Machine

There we go.

Who can forget the friggin ice Telescope for Batman and Robin? :woot:

I'm sure this has been said countless times, but people are still complaining about the voice, so whatever.

That audio is taken from people high in the stands. It's distorted and reverbed as all hell, and is in no way a representation of what we will hear. I can't wait for the trailer, so all these same whiners come back and freak out due to Tom Hardy's palpable sexualized man-ness.

I think an earthquake machine sounds kinda cool actually.

This talk about the voice is all one big circle-jerk. Wait for the movie and then decide, do you have nothing else to discuss besides the voice? Or if you are going to discuss the voice maybe discuss about why it might sound as it does (which some of you have done)!
