The Dark Knight Rises Tom Hardy as Bane XIII

Bane is a great Batman villain. And I believe that Nolan and Hardy will make him iconic.

The thing that still intrigues me the most is his mask. I looks awesome in every way and I love it. But there is also no denying looking at it that it hides both a story and a purpose.

Does it feed Venom and if so, where and how?

Is it stuck permanently on him?

Can he survive without it?

Was he experimented on?

Who made it?

I'm so curious.

:argh: Light up the torches! :cmad: Let's get the pitchforks! Point us the way!

I felt the same way.

It was an ignorant statement to make. I'm guessing the members who made those types of statements are still reeling that The Riddler wasn't chosen for a villain in this trilogy.

Whatever. The smart money says they'll still watch TDKR on premier night and fall in love with the character.

Don't feed the troll. :) He often pops up with that nonsense from time to time.

Bale

Tell us about working with Tom Hardy

It’s a real good cast. I’ve been working with Tom mostly over the past few weeks, he’s a real fascinating actor. He’s going to be creating some wonderful characters over his career and he’s doing so with this. He’s kind of just gleeful coming into work every day.[…] He’s the real deal. I’m very impressed with him.

Can you talk about crafting fight scenes with Tom?

We have fantastic stunt guys who have been with us since the first film. This is sort of what we do. They kind of work out what they’d like to see in the fights and Tom and myself come in and bring in the story to the fights, you have to figure a way to tell a story in a fight otherwise a fight by itself can be rather dull.

Of the entire cast? The main ensemble is fantastic.

It says a lot about how great the cast is that, as awesome as Tom Hardy is, he's just one of many top actors rather than the undeniable standout. If I had to choose the best out of the lineup, I'd say Gary Oldman. You could also make a compelling argument to give Christian Bale those plaudits too.

No love for Morgan Freeman?

Whoops! I corrected myself.

Tom Hardy is the best actor in the cast.

Nope. Bale is. By a longshot. Imo, Bale is the second best actor in Hollywood. Actually, he's tied for first with Johnny Depp.

Don't get me wrong, I freaking love Tom and I do think he's an amazing actor. But better than Gary Oldman and Christian Bale? Nope.

Its all a matter of opinion, but I think Oldman is far and away the best actor in this cast, and there are some great actors in this cast.

How about we just say it's a cast full of fresh, exciting new talent, proven powerhouses, and out and out legends, and just leave it at that.

Christian Bale
Morgan Freeman
Michael Caine
Gary Oldman
Marion Cotillard
Joseph-Gordon Levitt
Anne Hathaway
Aaron Eckhart
Heath Ledger
Cillian Murphy
Tom Hardy
Liam Neeson
Ken Watanabe
Linus Roache
Tom Wilkinson
Rutger Hauer
Michael Jai White
Eric Roberts
Maggie Gyllenhaal

ETC...

Seriously, will another trilogy ever feature such great talent again? :awesome:

You can't put Michael Jai White on that list, next to those monsters, and leave Maggie G out of it. I absolutely love MJW, but let's be serious here.

Edit: I see that you put an ETC, but still. No offence meant, either way.

It's talent pollution.

Unfair on the extras, you gotta give them their time to shine.
