The Dark Knight Rises Tom Hardy as Bane XIV

The same trailer where everyone's perceptions of said scene were severely skewed because of shoddy clarity? In the same way that no one talks about Catwoman in the trailer because the clear footage showed otherwise, it is the same reason people aren't going nuts as they were about Bane's size because they realized he was simply going up some stairs.
Sure, which is why I said the leaked trailer. The last part wasn't meant to be taken that seriously, because clearly it is Batman. But steps or no steps, you can't tell me he doesn't look bigger than Batman in that shot.

Batman is in the background Bane is in the foreground.

It's not something that can be determined. He does look built however.

Just came back from seeing Warrior.

Nick Nolte can have the Oscar. Tom Hardy can have my body.

Of course not. But I'm also under the assumption that I'm not surrounded by children who do not understand that this man isn't actually on top of a regular coke bottle:

Or that a gigantic little girl isn't roaming the streets of Paris:

I'm not entirely sure what point you are making with a shot that is clearly not showcasing "proper" perspective between two individuals, to accurate gauge their differences in size.

Thank you for that .

I walked into Warrior late, and only caught the end credits of the trailer. I was heartbroken.

If you didn't believe he could play Bane after Bronson, you'll believe it after seeing Warrior. Holy f*** did he kick some @$$ in that movie!

He was a cold, merciless son of a ***** in that movie.

Saw it today myself. What a great movie and what a performance by Hardy. Nolte really impressed me as well.

Good god Hardy is fierce in Warrior. Everything from his voice, his eyes, his body language, the way his shoulders seem to slouch like he's ready to fight even when he's speaking. He's gonna be so awesome as Bane. I just believe it.

Glad more people are going to see it. The entire cast was phenomenal. Tommy was a complete animal.

If you don't have faith in Hardy, watch The Warrior. Hardy was a BEAST! Reminisent of a caged animal. So emotionally cold but with reason, I didn't know whether to love him or hate him. I actually wish he used that voice for TDKR instead, it sounded like a mix of brooklyn and a hint of south american IMO.

It was a great performance.

Although I disagree with that he was cold emotionally. That was his front.

The movie goes to show that his actions were that of a very warm and kind hearted individual.
For example trying to win the money to give to his fallen buddy's wife and kids along with nursing his father when he gets drunk at the hotel. He very much had a big heart but it was veiled by a tough exterior due to his life filled with misery, it was a self defense mechanism if you will.

Regardless amazing performances by Hardy and of course Nolte and Edgerton.

I damn near balled like a baby during the:

Casino and hotel scenes. I felt horrible for Paddy throughout the entire film, and the moment he broke his sobriety, I about couldn't take it. I was making near-cry faces throughout the entire damn film.

I was very close too, I had those exact same reactions. :(

Nolte and Hardy seriously outdid themselves in those scenes.

Those who have yet to see Warrior:

Get your a**es to a local theater!!! Wow... I caught the midnight showing and I'm too pumped up to go to bed. Ugh. I think I might head to the gym.

I wholeheartedly agree with you Boom. Those scenes moved me. Sweet mother of god did I want to tear up after seeing Nolte's character in that tragic mess.

I hope both Hardy and Nolte get a nomination, at least.

I plan on seeing it this weekend. For those of you who have seen both this and The Fighter. Which did you like more?
