I had heard that Hardy is not due to start filming some of his scenes until late May.

No i thought that because i thought you thought I was talking about tom Hardy getting bigger for the role, not about Bane getting bigger when using the Venom.

Great. However in my head I picture Bane using the venom but not necessarily connecting tubes to his head. I picture his physique already established in the beginning of the film from using it throughout a period of time and keeps using it to maintain his size, rather than instantly transforming or instantly decreasing in size. Like I stated, we have real drugs in our society that can boost one's adrenaline & make them faster (like you said) but also make them bigger. It's very appropriate for the Bane character in the film and it's realistic.

Fair enough. But i was thinking it'd be more of an instant hit thing.

Maybe Batman is getting the better of him, he uses the Venom... then he completely demolishes Batman.

If you don't agree then so be it. It's called stating your opinions. Until the movie comes out, there's no right or wrong answer. Like someone said, Nolan used a microwave and fear toxin (both were made up for BB) so I believe it's possible something could be used for Bane.

Again i think this was all a big misunderstanding.

Very cool picture, it is possible he could be in training with the Keysei Fighting Method guys at the moment - I would assume he would need a month or two with them to get his skills perfected, and if he is working for The League of Shadows, this makes perfect sense.

As I recall I believe the first photo we got of Heath Ledger as the Joker was the first promo from the WSS viral; and at that point, I believe that was in June or July. I don't believe they were filming at that point, but I do recall many leaked photos of the bank robbery on set coming into focus first. And that was the summer of 2007.

It was in May when we first saw the full close up picture of the Joker. Because of the virals yeah. I remember typing in my e-mail furiously to get it cleared. But then I realized I didn't need to do it more than once.

That USA Today article I remember with Nolan looking at Ledger behind the tinted glass. God, those were the days. Even though it was tinted, one could get a good idea of the look. Loved it.

There was a discussion a few pages back that having a shaved head makes someone appear more muscular, and with Hardy's limited time to put on weight, he might have shaved his head for that purpose as well.

He was cast way back when. He didn't have limited time at all. He's probably at the weight Nolan told him to be. Which possibly means we won't get a HUGE Bane at all. Which makes me sad.

Hes been shooting other movies for the past few months though, the other directors probably opposed him putting on 25lbs over the course of their movies.

BIGGER UPDATE: THE PICTURE WAS NOT TAKEN ON THE SET OF TDKR. BEFORE TAKING DOWN HIS TWITTER, THE USER SAID THIS:

"Ok people Big Big Miss understanding! The picture of me and Tom hardy was not on the set of batman! Some corporate event!"

He's lying of course. When he first posted the picture on his twitter before knowing the whole internet would see it, , he said this: ""Me and Tom Hardy (Bane) on set on the new Batman film!"

Why would he say it's on the new set of the batman film, and then say it's not? It was clearly the set. WB asked him to say it wasn't and then change his story!
