Supergirl Tyler Hoechlin IS Superman - Part 1

Trust me, you guys don't want Superman to get his own series. It would go the way of Arrow and Flash.

I still enjoy The Flash for the most part. But I agree with Boy Scout's point. The Berlantiverse machine has proven themselves extremely uneven when it comes to maintaining consistent quality throughout their series, imo. Yet another reason I support the hypothetical TV movie/mini-series option for Supes more.

I want a Superman spin off series by done by the Supergirl team, not by the Flash/ Arrow/ Legends team.

I wouldn't mind short Superman seasons. Give Legends of Tomorrow 13 episodes and then put Superman in that spot for 10 episodes.

He does such a great Superman that it would be a shame and a waste to not have his own show. And definitely before it's too late. Before you know it, Hoechlin will be on another show as a full time character, and all we'll have is a sporadic, two times a year guest appearances.

Do you think Tyler can pull off a Superman X from the Legion of Superheroes cartoon series?

In case they can't use regular Superman, they could use Supeman X and he's a clone that could fit in Cadmus' plans.

All SUPERMAN/Clark scenes!!!!!

Noooooo

Don't go !!!

Let's keep him forever!!!! But I agree. I'd be scared if they give him his own show. Just because he's been so great and I don't want anyone to ruin him

I love the idea of a miniseries for Hoechlin's Superman during the Supergirl hiatus.

There are ways to use Tyler Hoechlin as Superman such as Subject 1 from Flashpoint Project Superman, Kingdom Come Superman, or Superman X.

I loved Tyler's superman, smart and experienced! Kudos to creators for giving us a worthy interpretation of superman. With all that being said I have to echo some of people's sentiments of not wanting a 20 + episode superman series because that's what usually takes the wind out of these CW superhero shows, netflicks have the right idea with their shorter marvel shows and even then I think luke cage and jessica jones could've benefited from being 3 episodes shorter.

Without a doubt, Tyler pulled off the *****e bag, alpha male jock in everyone wants some perfectly and then he turned around and pulled off an inspirational, smart and kind superman equally as perfect! The guy has bags of talent.
As for superman X, well I kinda liked the character but from what I understand he was supposed to be Mon-El on that show but the creators thought that he would be too similar to superman so they created superman X, who was a mon-el, superboy, Eradicator hybrid. Supergirl already has Mon-el so they don't need to resort to creating a superman X type character.

Would love to see a miniseries or 6 episode season every year with Tyler. They could focus on one or two story limes and integrate 2 or 3 villains in to each season. Nothing over the top.

6 to 12 episodes over the summer in Supergirl's timeslot would be fine. The whole 20 to 24 episode model is an old one anyway, and some shows seem to be moving away from it as is. A much shorter season with an arc would keep the show fresh without in straying into Smallville filler freak of the week territory .

Some Art Of Mine.

TBH, one of the things I found hard to swallow (I can't find a better term), was Superman's mindset on the kryptonite problem.

Its true he wouldn't want it to be around to hurt anyone from his world, humans with long term exposure, and of course himself. However, it seems like every version of Superman would trust someone to have it just in case because he isn't sure of himself going off the rails, or being controlled by a threat. Obviously that person's Batman, but in general, that's his mindset in every version of the character where this problem is around.

That's not the mindset here with the CW Superman, where those reasons don't matter, or exist. He doesn't think he would ever be under someone's control, and the fact he doesn't consider the Kryptonian threat from season 1 makes him arrogant as well as naive. Because of that, I cannot see this Superman teaming up or even being partners with a possible CW Batman because of this.

This was the only thing that made me realize this Superman, under this topic, was an idiot.

If Andrew is able to convince Warner Bros in letting the show use Superman for a few more times, I wouldn't be surprised if Superman later got put under some mind control by Cadmus, which would make John's stance about Kryptonite more valid and Superman realizing the need for such contingencies.

I hate that.

Why use him to prove it, when they've had several Kryptonian villains to begin with?! They even had, under Red K, Supergirl! Doing evil things. It doesn't always have to be the heroes turning bad, just bad people from Krypton terrorizing others.

Remember aswell they asked permission yo use him and they actually said they could have him for two episodes. They only asked for one episode but got a second, now after the ratings and how they've been reviewed I guarantee CW, WB and DC will be thrilled. Success creates more opportunity, so I reckon we will see him back.

But at most, he trusts Batman with a piece of Kryptonite, or a Ring. The DEO had enough to fill a whole container. And they weren't even able to properly guard it. I hope Superman will eventually realize that a contingency plan is needed, and hand J'onn a piece. Or have Superman put a safeguard in place, in case he gets put under mind control. Kelex would contact J'onn, and lead him to the Kryptonite that Superman hopefully didn't destroy.
