Honestly, I am still kind of iffy on the whole idea. Namely because I do not want the writers for this show to repeat history by having characters take another cheap shot at Superman by saying on how Kara was able to easily defeat Lex when it took Superman so long to do so, similar to how the whole Reactron scenario.

Lex is supposed to be Superman's biggest villain. If he gets beaten by Kara with ease, let alone within the span of one episode, then that would make Superman look very incompetent.

I know that this is her show but just because they can do something does not mean that they should do so.

Plus, unless Superman is said to be off world then why would he be so busy where he would not deal with Lex, who again, is established to be his greatest villain here?

It won't make Superman look incompetent. It's like if someone keeps charging a door to knock it down and then someone else has a go at it and breaks it down in one. The first person has softened it up for them and the second person has just come in at the last minute to deal the final blow.

Superman would've worn Lex down all these years while Lex was still younger. If Kara does somehow manage to catch him in one episode, it's because Lex is a tired older man now and can't keep it up as much when Supergirl comes along and does her stuff.

I was in a takeaway when I posted the image so didn't get to post my thoughts but I agree with Herolee on the image. Everything about it is far far superior to that first image released. Infact I would go as far as to say it's the best promo poster we've gotten from a CW show. Tyler looks great in that image, his arms definitely look bigger to me too. As for Lois she looks amazing, she fits the comic book Lois Lane look to me. Just a fantastic image and I cannot wait for Elseworlds. This is only going to add more fuel to the fire with the talk of a Superman spin off with Lois Lane.

They should give Lois a Margot Kidder haircut!

I am more interested in a Superman show than a Batwoman show. Batwoman doesn't fill me with any excitement at all. It would be more of an obligatory checking it out than actual interest. Superman, on the other hand, would have me far more hyped.

I think people would lap up a Superman show, I definitely think they're playing a waiting game with it. Superman will return to the small screen regularly at somepoint. He always has.

I'm really intrigued by Batwoman but I have some fears surrounding it.

That poster symbolizes how Superman's 80th anniversary is to be celebrated.

I predict Elseworlds will be everything the Justice League movie isn't. If we must see Superman with facial hair, so be it!!

If Lex is going to keep up with Supergirl at his older age, it's through the battlesuit.

Waking up today seeing this again, just wow. I honestly am blown away by this image.

The only negative stuff I've seen online is via twitter and its the "Snyderholics" who have to compare, they'll bash this to promote there #SnyderCut campaign or use it to moan at WB about the "real" Superman and Lois. What irritates me is they aren't critiquing the image on its own merits or even for a valid reason, they're doing it to fuel a campaign. These to me aren't true DC fans, they don't care about the characters only one specific version of these characters. I'm so glad that I'm a fan of all takes on Superman and most other DC characters.
