Well it was someone from Counting Down named Infamous_Imijayne who has a connection to the entertainment industry, and she's right most of the time. She said that. It was months ago so I don't think I'll be able to find what exactly she said, lol, but to prove her validity, she did say that they planned on making a Venom spinoff months ago and looked how that turned out, so you never know. In fact she also said that Sony had plans to have Eddie Brock Jr's dad become the new Venom in Spider-Man 5 along with either Black Cat or the Scorpion, and then have Venom and Carnage in Spider-Man 6. Again is it true, I don't know. Maybe it was/is and maybe it wasn't/isn't. We just have to wait for Infamous_Imijayne to say something. I've been trying to get a hold of her on Counting Down, but with no luck. I don't know where she is.

The stories, let alone the villains, are not planned out in advance. There is no way anyone, including Sony, knows what SM5 and 6 will be about.

Now that the strike is over, we'll finally see some progress! Yay! :woot:

It'll be nice to finally start hearing more about Spidey 4 and other Marvel movies still at studio's in the coming months, i hope as well as Spidey 4, Ghost Rider 2 and a Silver Surfer movie are greenlit.

Come on Sony and Vanderbilt, say something, the writer's strike is over.

I really think Vanderbilt is currently writing the script and will have an interview very soon. He obviously will not reveal things though. Atleast not yet of course.

I hope the movie is equal parts the Rundown and Zodiac. And by that I mean that I hope The Rock plays the Zodiac killer as the main villian.

If the movie is going to have two villains, then they definitely need to be Lizard and Kraven.

Actually I would prefer just Lizard, but if another villain HAS to be introduced as well, then Kraven is the best choice.

I'd rather have Carnage and Lizard.

Carnage is a red Venom, and yet another character who looks like Spider-Man covered in goop.

In short, no Carnage.

THE LIZARD and KRAVEN THE HUNTER

As I have said, leave Carnage out of the Spidey franchise. He belongs in the upcoming Venom spin-off film.

As I have said maultiple times, Carnage is too violent for a Spidey film. He belongs in the upcoming Venom spin-off film.
every villain is violent. this is no excuse.
also, if you're talking about the killings...it can simply be offscreen.
WTF? So you want the film to suck is what your saying?
who makes a movie suck is the director, the writer and the way everything is led. not the characters in it.

Well, obviously every Villian is violent, but Carnage is pure evil. He causes alt of gore and cuts of people's heads.

I never saw Carnage in the comics cutting people's head. the gore is all offscreen. like the hospital scene in SM2.
not in his first issues, not in Maximum Carnage, not in the Annual#28 and not in any other I have read.
and you got that right, Carnage is pure evil. this is exactly what we need. a villain who is really a villain. from start to end. and not someone who turns good at the end, like Ock, Flint and Harry. this would work pretty well.

By cutting off people's heads, I meant that as an example. In Maximum Carnage, Carnage murdered a man and his wife in a car. in one panel, we see the man and women lying face down with blood pooring down the front of the car. 6 and 7 year old kids would be terrified and parents would be angry.

Carnage murdered almost half of New York in MC. of course they wouldn't do extreme killings in the movie. Carnage wouldn't get the whole movie, so it's not about him killing people. I think the villains got like 30 or 35% of the movie.
since there will be two villains in SM4, Carnage wouldn't be the main focus. when he appears on screen, and is killing, just show - offscreen - that he is killing some people. doesn't need to be explicit. but it would be like in just ONE of his scenes, something brief. like 5% of his portion in the movie. the other 25% is he fighting Spidey. simple as that.
man, I know you guys want Kraven for part 4, but after the drama fest SM3 gave us, I want something more action-packed, still with good story. Carnage offers more possibilities for that than Kraven. we could have Kraven...but for part 5. also, Sony has to stop to care so much about kids. they have to make a strong movie, still into the PG-13.

I know he killed half of NYC in MC and I don't think it would be right for there to be off screen deaths. I mean it could work, but it would lower his character. If Carnage is in a film, we want to see full fledged Carnage and that is Carnage stabbing people. However, as I said, this would only work in a Venom spin-off film.

I take it as a opinion. like I said, Carnage would barely have time to do all the offscreen killings since he'll be fighting Spidey most of the time. and I don't think anyone really want to see Carnage stabbing people all the time. I think we want to see him fighting Spidey. well, me at least.
