I just want Sony/Marvel to come out and tell us who the villains are this time. No other comic book film beats around the bush with their villains (Batman, Iron Man, Superman, Hell-Boy, etc.) except for the people running the Spidey films. No more of this guessing and waiting a year or more for the villains' names. It's tiresome and boring.

True, I don't mind if they beat around the bush, I just don't want it to take 5 or 6 months to tell us who they are.

I think it was a great choice to pick him, quality, let's hope he has the passion that Sam had for Spidey and Nolan has for Batman.

Vanderbilt has only signed on for Spider-Man 4. That doesn't mean he will not be the writer for the 5th film though.

I think that would deviate way too far from he Mysterio from the comics. Mysterios' suit should be made by him or something. No alien type things should be involved with mysterio, IMO.

And that is what is unfortunate. I don't want to needlesly wait obscene amounts of time to find out what's going on. I get the need for secrecy but Sony are too secretive with their plans on these movies and quite frankly, I've never found it to be justified. QOS came out with who the actors were and which characters they'll be portraying and gave a brief synopsis as to what would go on. It hasn't hurt the production of the movie at all.

Electro could be a serial killer who wears no shirt and has a lightning bolt tattoo put onto his body whenever he kills somebody.Or he could be a kid around Peter's age who wears one of those shirts that has tiny little logos all over the shirt,like those shirts that are solid black with green dollar signs all over it,but for Electro it would be lightning bolts.

Also, I'm not feeling Kraven the Hunter in a movie because he is Kraven the Hunter. He's a cool character, but something about a Spiderman movie where Spiderman is up against a big game hunter just doesnt thrill me.

I wish they gave SM2 to the Lizard since it was more his story anyway and now we could be using Doc Ock. I think the Lizard could have upstaged the Green Goblin, but I'm not sure about him holding his own film post Ock, NG, Sandman and "Venom". It probably wouldnt work so well now that the whole "I won't die a monster" line has been said, they cant tell JUST that story again, I guess it needs more. But for me, it doesnt need some dirty looking regular guy just firing guns off. Of course I'm totally fine with K the H, I'm just not particularly "kraving" him, HA HA HA.

Kraven isn't just a game hunter. He has an obsession for catching what he believes is the ultimate prise, with a profound code of honour to boot. Remember, he also gains superhuman abilities by taking doses of potions and weird chemeical herbs/formulas to give him the strength and speed he needs to match or surpass his target.

The lizard's story can be told differently though. Where as it appeared that Doc Ock had become a monster and his tentacles had a life of its own as it saw, separating from Octavius to be a threat to it's existence, the only way to ensure Ock couldn't cause any potential harm was to overcome the tentacles' AI do something good whilst dying in the process. Ock probably saw that he had nothing to live for, seeing as his wife was killed by the same experiment he was once again, endangering the city with and he had no other living relative. Lizard's story is different. Connors has a wife and son, which as a man are the most valuable things he has and needs to live for. The lizard is a by product of an ongoing experiment in which Connors plans to make himself as he once was, a man bearing two arms. Whereas, Ock was one persona who became a monster, Connors and the lizard are 2 personas in which one is the monster. There's a lot that can be dealt with here if handled with real thought.

The new screenwriter may not be feeling Kraven or The Lizard, it can happen. So don't be surprised.
