Vaughn on Thor Casting!

So does anyone know if the rumours are true they are/were considering Kevin McKidd for the role of Thor?

I'm wondering if Loki is going to be in this and who would be a good choice to play him. That could be a very fun role to land.

I think Loki is definitely going to be in the movie. He's as important as THOR and Odin.

In the norse mythology Loki is half Asgardian, half Jotun (race of monsters and demons), so that makes him a cool character to place next to THOR.

What's Loki's origin in the comicbook?

The main Characters Thor, Odin, Loki, Warriors 3, Sif, Balder are suppsed to be in the movie.

Loki in the Comic is the son of a Giant that Odin Kills, and Odin Adopts Loki.

they should make a muscled thor for the live action movie and they should have his enemy loki as the villian. how does that sound. let me know.

Well the movie has Thor in his early to mid 20's, he might not be extreamly built, but it is about how Thor became the Thor we know, and Loki is the main bad guy.

I didn't draw it Rust, but I did add in the words and editted out word balloons, it was a panel I think from avengers, Awhile ago in one of the Marvel Universe books it had an Nine worlds layout, the pic I used, just seemed much better than the one in the Marvel U book.

Well, don't exspect this THOR to get wings. It's NOT an obvious choice. Vaughn already said that it's more inspired by norse mythology than by Marvel and while there's no evidence that he didn't wear a winged helmet the (real) classic depictions never showed THOR with wings.

That's not what I'VE read in interviews....Every article i've seen Vaughn says he is doing "Marvel's Thor", and is being heavily influenced by the old Tales Of Asgard back-up stories...

Strike doesn't have to be over. It's over as far as Marvel is concerned on making Thor. They can go full steam ahead.
