Watch Dogs

I wonder where they'll take the sequel for this. There's plenty to improve upon but overall they got a good base here.

Yea I'm curious to see if they'll go back to Chicago or give us another location. We know that ctOS is gonna be expanding, so theres plenty of options.

Also, the game sold 4 million copies in its first week, making it the fastest selling new IP ever, also had the best week one sales of any Ubi title ever.

the reference I got was on the first level when you start to search for t-bone.

There is a point where you hack multiple people's phones, and one person is playing marco Polo I guess, the other person on the line says something like "assassin assassin assassin....templar templar templar. "

If you notice a page our 2 back I already confirmed it's in the same universe because there is a passing reference in AC IV BF during one of the parts where you're not in the Animus were people in the company are talking about security and one of them says "We should have got the company that did security for Chicago"

I like it when things like that tie different titles together.

Oh, didn't catch that. But yeah that's pretty much it.

On the last Criminal Convoy mission you kill Olivier Garneau, who is the CCO of Abstergo Entertainment. If you read some of your e-mails in present time ACIV, you'll find out Olivier never came back from his trip to Chicago.

7 days in and we finally get an official acknowledgement from Ubi on the load screen bug.

They are still asking people to submit tickets on their support page which means they are nowhere near a fix, if there even is a possibility of it, and no eta on when it will happen.

I'm just gonna bite the bullet and unlink my uPlay account and start over because that's very clearly the cause of the problem and Ubi just won't admit that it's a failure. This has been super pathetic of them.

And here's that second opinion video review I mentioned would happen. From Ben Silverman and Jose Fubar Sanchez.

Watch Dogs Second Opinion
Return to Chicago with a Second Opinion of Watch Dogs.
Snynopsis: today the San Fransisco team hacked into watch do
gs. plenty of content and the hacking is fun . but the story and lead character eta bit lost. other wise minus the latter part they still liked it.

Ben's score 7.5 & Jose's Score 8.5

Picked this up cheap. First game I have bought in a long time but seems good fun.

The online multiplayer parts seem really interesting and fun, some good moments in them should keep the game feeling fresh for some time as well.

Managed to finish the first mini-app game Alone which is a nice touch too, not tried the others yet.

I just got the online hacking trophy today. I think I'm up to 13 full hacks now. I'm in the top 4% on the ps4 boards. Been hacked 3 times though but just caught my first guy today too although he got away.

Here is a tip for everyone, if they do hack you don't close the menu with the stats. Run around until you see a purple outline and that's where they hid. It can help you get better at finding people and give you ideas on how to pull a hack off.

Funny thing is I'm still in act 2 haha. Need to play more story but I have a ton of fun online and goofing around. Pretty much got all my hacking points maxed out and most combat stuff too.

Man the online hacking in this game is addictive.

It is great. Im no expert myself but some of the attempts others have made to hack me when trying to stay low profile is hilarious, one guy tailing me managed to cause a four car pile up in the middle of the road then proceeded to leg it from the accident down the middle of the road.

Hmmm suspicious :hmm

so I shot him:woot:

This game has been on the top of my list since it first premiered at E3 a few years ago and I'm dying to play it, but I know I won't have time to anytime soon, but how it is, particularly for the current gen systems? I've been hearing a lot of mixed things like it's good but the driver sucks, or that it doesn't live up to the hype because so much changed once it was delayed.

I personally love it and have it for ps4. Yes the driving is a little wonky but you do get used to it so it's not a deal breaker. There is a ton of stuff to do in the game and hacking other players is great. If you do find some time I would recommend checking it out

Really enjoying the game, nearing the end of act 4 but just got the 90% loading glitch on PS4, tried deleting the game + savegame then redownloading that from PS+ (3 times total) but still happens, so hope they bring a patch out soon.

What is the glitch? So I can perhaps try to avoid it and wait until a patch. I mean I'm still early in the campaign but I am curious.

I was hacking another player today and at the last second I switched spots and jumped in a truck. He saw me but didn't profile me and tried to hit me with a grenade launcher and it hit the propane tank behind him and he promptly blew himself up. Since he hadn't profiled me I still finished the hack and got credit, I know someone said there was a rumor that you can kill yourself and they can't get points but hat is just not true.

Also I'm curious what everyone's hacking style is? Do you pick a spot and hide or do you try and blend in with the crowd? I personally try and hide when I can and it seems to work out more often than not

On act 5 of the game. I would say it is good, but it has too many throw your controller moments to be great. 7/10. It's truly sad, because it has great game play and a good enough story to be a 9/10. Just too many moments where you want to snap the devs neck.

Why do you want to throw your controller and snap the devs neck?

There are some annoying parts I have come across. The controls for driving and evening shooting in a pinch feel a little awkward at times, Aiden can get a bit "sticky" against walls at the worst possible moment. I spent about 1 hour trying one mission trying to get away from helicopters and cars but there just seemed no way to escape them.

Eventually I discovered there is a perk that will help me with the copter but until I get to that level it seems pointless to return to that mission until said perk is obtained.

Its a good game still but there are a few things holding it back I can see why it got a lot of 7 and 8's rather than 9 and 10's. I like it but it could be improved upon in the sequal hopefully as the story is keeping me interested for now.

All in all it's an average game for me. Very repetitive missions, horrendous driving mechanics, a paper thin main character, with bland voice acting. Well, at least They have a foundation for the sequel.

I think it's a flawed but really generous and enjoyable game. I'm sure the sequel will be simply awesome.
