The Dark Knight Rises Worst character of the trilogy?

To me, she feigned any sweetness. It came across cold and there was no warmth.

Think we're saying the same thing ;) And when she kept going on and on about clean energy, I was rolling my eyes.

Miranda Tate/Talia. They actually managed to make a character worse than Rachel.

Other honorable mentions:

Rachel Dawes
John Daggett
Peter Foley
Victor Zsasz
Decoy Ra's al Ghul
Jonathan Crane
The infamous "IT'S GONNA BLOW" guy
The infamous SWAT guy

Zsasz for being kind of random. Appears, gets put in Arkham, get freed, then we don't know what happens.

Rachel in The Dark Knight, at least in a major role. Should have introduced Catwoman early to be in two films instead. ;)

There's a lot of Foley in this thread. Personally, I didn't care about the character but I didn't hate him. He was only there so Nolan could fill his quota for casting a has-been actor for each of his films. (Rutger Hauer in BB, Eric Roberts in TDK, Tom Berenger in Inception, Matthew Modine in TDKR)

Zsasz was a series of cameos. Being random is the nature of the idea.

At least those guys had at least one worthwhile scene.

The difference between Foley compared to Earle, Maroni, and Browning in Inception is that they were all enjoyable characters. Foley was just a pain in the ***.

*SWAT guy sees thread* "That's not good....."

*starts reading thread* "Okay, that's NOT good!"

Eh, I liked Foley. I liked how Batman actually inspired him (wish it did more) and that he showed up, like Gordon mocked, in his dress boots. I wasn't heart broken when he died, but it was just a nice way of showing how the Batman has brought out the better natures of Gothamites and not just the villains.

On the other hand, I thought Daggert was written far too over the top and played even more so. He was good as a character function between CW and Bane, but man was he annoying.

Just my opinion.

I did like Foley seeing the symbol and showing up dressed like Gordon mentioned.

Daggett felt as pointless as a character could get. I enjoyed hearing him getting his neck snapped. Then again I'm sure that's how his character was supposed to be played anyway.

Foley, like Tatelia, could've been good. Just needed some development IMO.

I actually really liked Dagget, I only wish his name was Roland Dagget instead of John Dagget.

As for worst character, the SWAT guy in the Joker chase.

Oh I'm sure he could have been better but his writing wasn't helping.

"Then he's as dumb as he dresses".

Well you're just as dumb for having such a crap line :p

It's such a shame too because Modine is like the biggest TDKR fanboy promoter. :hehe:

He made a real fool of himself on twitter over The Avengers.

I was not too crazy about Talia. At the end of the movie, when she comes out, I wanted her to be wearing the traditional Talia outfit from the comic books.

The annoying little twerp the Joffery actor plays in BB.

"Its really you isnt it?" to a six foot, black clad man wearing a bat suit and cape.

"NO I'M ****ING SPIDER-MAN DIP****!!"

Rachel should have tasered him instead of Scarecrow.

:lmao:

Never thought about it that way.

Well, Batman is all black. The kid could've thought it was Symbiote Spider-Man..

I wouldn't have expected such hyperbole from you.
the better the director and the movie the worse the death scene was.

if this was a Bay or Sommers movie noone would even complain about her scene. everyone would accept it. it would even fit in this kind of movies. but it was an insane bad scene for a Nolan movie in general. if you look at the real acting and human behavior from other character in his movie it just doesnt fit it. it stands out as a very bad scene and acting.

I initially didn't like Foley, but on multiple viewings his role is fine to me. In many ways he plays the normal GCPD Captain.

The one who isn't quite corrupt but isn't crazy enough to just join a suicide mission without enough of a push.

Most annoying character just because, was Detective Ramirez. I hated her. Also the lady who introduces Bruce to Ra's. She seemed like a remnant of the Schumacher era Batman. Same for the lady who at the Hotel in BB says 'But he's put Falcone behind bars!'. Sounded unremittingly over the top.
