Rachel and Talia. Romance isn't Chris Nolan's greatest selling point.
Too violent man. My brother was asking why it was cut the way it was and I thought it was pretty self-explanatory. While the movie did have a lot of gun violence, showing him directly getting hit by (what I'm assuming is) a .50 Cal type of weapon mount on the Tumbler ain't gonna cut it. Heh. They could have worked some camera magic but I'm not surprised they didn't show any of the gunfire hitting him. I think the fact that he was dead instantly on the ground makes it seem awkward, not to mention his pose.
Really? I didn't know this. I stayed away from most production shots and only saw some here & there and had no idea he gets hit by the Tumbler. I guess this is what people have been mentioning about Foley and why a certain moment was cut from the battle. Didn't know what that moment was.Actually Foley didn't get shot by the Tumbler's cannon/gun. Set pics show he was run over, or rather, hit by the speeding Tumbler. I get what you're saying though. I guess that still could be too violent. But it looked pretty cool in the set pic. I'm fine with how they cut it though.
Daggett annoyed me to no end, mainly because I was at my breaking point with the actor's horrible American accent. I was so happy when Bane ended him.
Yeah, his "What. The. Hell. Is going on here? made me chuckle on my first viewing.Australian eh? I didn't know that. I think Daggett was supposed to be a *****e.
The "That's not good" cop.
OMG yes. Along with the "funny" cop from TDKR, those guys are literally cringe-worthy.
Not with those characters, but I thought he did a good job with Bruce and Selina. Which is really the only one that mattered, in the end.
Talia for sure! poorly handled. Miranda was awesome and her orchestrating everything behind the scenes was great but her reveal was too late too care and too quick and cliched to mean anything.

T"Challa;24040969 said:John Blake, Talia and Foley were so damn unnecessary imo. Take them out, and split their screentime between Catwoman and bane and TDKR is that much better.
Foley - "Get this hot head out of here", "I'm going to do what Jim Gordon never could. I'm going to take down the Batman". Foley was an irritating presence. I never got any chemistry between him and Gordon. I never believed for a minute they spent years together on the streets working together. Gordon had more chemistry with Stephens in TDK than he did with this character. When he died and the camera zoomed in on his body I rolled my eyes as if we are supposed to care this guy is dead.

Now, it seems like in the film it was edited to be like he was gunned down.

LOL! how could John Blake be unnecessary? Like him or not, that's a stupid thing to say.
Because many feel that it was unnecessary for Bruce Wayne to retire in his prime at the end of TDKR.
Blake seemed shoehorned in for that purpose alone. It didn't feel true to the comics. It was very Elseworlds.
