Rogue can be in Gambit's movie.

very unlikely.

I am afaird wolverine will die by ending of new film.Mangold responses to those who asked about anna paquin and famke janssen being in film leds me to think they could cameo at his funeral.

X-Men: Apocalypse only cost 178m?

Not having those OT actors really beneficial to the budget

I don't see them killing wolverine off, it would annoy alot of fans.

I am actually quite surprised, i would have thought they would have given apocalypse a $200 mil budget.

FOX are cheap asses these days ain't they, cut abit of the budget for deadpool, fantastic four ect ect.

Controlling costs is one way to keep profitable. Especially since the X franchise has yet to reach the billion dollar threshold. It is something Warner Bros should've kept in mind.

Still, that budget is a miracle of accounting magic.

That new number (if legitimate) has me feeling more optimistic about this films chances of profitability at the box office. I had previously read the budget at a whopping $230, which would make it the most expensive X-men film to date.

$178 million? I seriously don't know if I would believe that. I know there's a tax breaks and everything but IMO Fox knowing the opening weekend gross of this in international markets and the tracking for North America have a lot to do with it!

IMo They should have released the production budget way before this film hits to any market.

I guess. It's painful as a fan to see this series with a conservative budget (which affected X1 significantly) while other team films have the cash to get every character's powers (and look) right.

Is Apocalypse projected to win OS this coming weekend? It's already opened in most markets but Alice is debuting this week.

Yeah but with Batman and Superman or even JL, I don't know how you are suppose to cut corners unless you just hire unknowns.

It's not the budget but the quality they should have kept more of an eye on.

It opens in a few more territories this weekend.

It opens in a few more shots this weekend.

That's why I guess I'm optimistic that it'll still win the weekend Worldwide.

But this franchise's boxoffice finds a way to disappoint come Monday/Tuesday...

Warcraft is also opening in international markets this week.

Every time. :')

This is what happens when you let Tom Rothman be in charge for so many years, don't have an RDJ or a Hugh Jackman in a leading role or use CGI villains.

I hear Alice cost 170 mill. That's a bit more suspect. Maybe Johnny Depp did the movie for free.

I think we're heading into a new trend for movies after Deadpools success and BVS uhm... disappointment. Every studio will probably begin lowballing. Still when you have investors you can't outright lie. So I'm guessing the numbers are close enough.

TRUTH!

Singer wanted the sentinels in X-2 they were suppose to hit the mansion instead of soldiers would have made that great movie legendary

Also there was an outline that was binned as it would have cost $250m to film.

back when DVD releases actually had features [DVD was before Blue ray for you kids :woot:) when I seen the designs for the sentinels and angel I never got why was that stuff left out until I discovered who Tom Rothman was :csad:

Blessing in disguise? I wasn't a fan of the hedgehog Sentinels.

I feel like the trailers spoiled too much the destruction scenes. I wasn't surprised when I saw it in the movie.

Next x-men movie I will not see any trailer and will be away from the boards until after I see the movie.
