I have doubts about the rumor because last I heard, Wadlow is going to be involved with the Masters of the Universe movie.

Darn it, I thought it was about Apocalypse.

Deadpool 3 months before apocalypse? Now I am wondering what the plan is, if true

I was skeptical about the deadpool cameo talk but now I dunno what to think

Don't be shocked if post credit for deadpool leads Into apocalypse and Deadpool making cameo In Apocalypse.

I also think Fox was smart to move FF to august which I thought recently they might do.

I'd just like to point out that Deadpool is coming out the day after my birthday-- which means I can actually catch a Thursday showing on my birthday. Sometimes life is alright.

Eh, I'm not shocked by any of this. I mean, didn't Donner talk about wanting Deadpool and other confirmed (or near-confirmed) characters to appear in Apocalypse alongside Gambit and young Nightcrawler? Or was that Singer? Or both?

Bryan Singer in twitter chat mentioned deadpool and Gambit as characters he would like to use In future X-Men films. He said the same thing In 2011 about Quicksilver and see
how that turned out.

Awwww yeah! Deadpool is confirmed!!

Hoping Ryan Reynolds gets the call for this. VERY interesting it leads into Apocalypse, will be interesting to see where they set it. I mean, will it be modern day or a period piece? Hugh Jackman to return? SO MANY QUESTIONS! :D

PS: Do we have a Deadpool sub-forum yet?

Not yet but hopefully soon.

If anything leads to Apocalypse with Deadpool I'd think it would be revolving around either Cable or Weapon X. Didn't Singer ditch Cable in DOFP for Bishop? Probably made the choice based on powers but maybe he figured he was a better fit for Apocalypse.

Weapon X and Cable are fairly significant with Deadpool but he's just not connected that much to the X-Men Team besides his relationship with Siryn. All pretty much X-Force based stuff. Be interesting what they do, as there are already heavy X-Men references and supporting roles in his script. No Weapon X though, but now that the clocks been reset who knows.

Had those Wolverine, Jean Grey and Deadpool Weapon X rumors not too long ago as well...

I was thinking about this the other day, so hear me out

With Mystique taking Wolverine away, the Project X team that Stryker runs loses it's key player. What if in this timeline, the "Weapon X" becomes proper Deadpool. Things play out somewhat as before, but Deadpool this time around is awesome and not the nerfed version from Origins

So we should get casting for Deadpool soon.

We should.

Its gonna be really interesting how Fox and the producers are gonna juggle two X-Men films at a time and still deliver quality films. Well both are being released in the same year so thats new to this franchise.

I believe if Renolds if attached, he could be the perfect Jackman replacement for X-Force, given he's 8 years younger and they surely want X-Force to be a franchise. That is probably what the 2018 film will be, if not an FC/X-Force crossover. That's why they have to get the hype train rolling by early 2016, and Renolds desperately needs a comeback.

I wouldn't be so sure of that.Nothing been heard about X-force.

Using reynolds as deadpool would be massive gamble considing his box office record.I still say Gambit is more likely for 2018 than X-force.

Fox after erasing much of X-Men films with time travel In DOFP are not going to stop making X-men films

Also adding to deadpool risk Is Fox won't be able to sell merchandize for film even if it's pg-13 film.

Reynolds in that Deadpool footage is what got this thing rolling. He deserves it at this point as much as Tim Miller.

I am not going to bank on any more X-Men films until the FC crew is resigned or renewed for multiple pictures, or at least McAvoy. Beast could go into politics or whatever. But with the OT cast seemingly out of the picture sans Jackman and no deals in place for JLaw and Michael, I believe the next set of films will feature different characters. Don't see them replacing those actors any time soon. That's my theory of what the future holds and what direction we see this franchise take.

A Gambit franchise with Tatum is certainly not something I am paying for. Renold's Deadpool and a comic accurate adaptation is something I think would be profitable given the right budget.

If Apoc is a big hit, people will want to see more Xavier,Cyclop, Jean and Storm.
So i don't think Fox will reboot the franchise in the next few years .
FC/DOFP/Apoc were part of Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, Beast trilogy .
IMO, the next will be for Cyclop, Jean and Storm .

Fox will likely get the new younger cast to sign 2 or 3 film deals so they will have them on the cheap

Fox will get most the new characters to sign these deals and in the end if they don't use them it doesn't hurt because this is for fox's benefit

Only Reynolds for Deadpool.
Jon Hamm for Cable, and bring it on!

No doubt, but you can't make a profitable X-Men movie without some key names or big talent. This isn't 2000 anymore. The characters alone are not going to be the selling point. You need top notch story telling. Frankly, I don't see how they are going to deliver that unless they are adapting big stories with big talent. They will need to fill a big void in that category if JLaw and Michael walk after Apocalypse. Casting a bunch of unknowns will not be enough.

it seems like there is only 4 of the important FC cast that will be get pay rises after and the only 4 that will be questionable really

the actor playing quicksilver probably signed a several film deal, the newbies will be cheap so its just a matter of them 4

i think if the FC cast do return they won't sign more contracts so it will be on a singly film decision basis

People are seriously fooling themselves if they Think Apocalypse will be last X-men film and then Fox will focus on characters unknown to GA Instead of recasting.

For FC trilogy ignoring he emma Frost and Moira mactagget issues they
already recast Xavier,Magneto,Mystique,Beast,Toad,William Stryker, and soon will continue with Cyclops,Jean Grey,Storm, and Possibly Nightcrawler.

They will recast Gambit for eather apocalypse or solo film.

The entire purpose of time travel "Reboot" In DOFP was to continue making
X-Men films.

Fox will try to keep Hugh jackman as wolverine as long as possible but the idea he could never be replaced or fox would just dump the most popular X-Men character Is crazy.

I firmly expect Deadpool to take place In early 1980's so it can tie In with Apocalypse and possibly new wolverine solo film.Fox,Sony, and WB all want to follow the shared universe road that MS Is doing.

Why? Deadpool can be in both the times without question.

Deadpool ages slower then Wolverine and can't die. So theres no issue there. Other then a flashback with Wade in Weapon X or The Workshop theres no reason for the Deadpool film to take place in the 80s. There is no way they would sacrifice the amount of current pop culture jokes, characters and the script they have for that. The film revolves around those things in modern times. Theres just no reason to axe that.
