Kinda bummed about this. I love Mystique, but I'm not a fan of how Lawrence portrays her and to think the movie is going to be focused on her is a bit of a let down.

Its a shame she didn't get a main X-Man role instead as then we'd all be happy for her to have as much of the limelight as she wants. Maybe she could have been a good Rogue.

Logan specifically told Charles to find him, Cyclops, Storm, and Jean while they were on their way to DC. Your assumption is that Charles will get around to it by the end of the next movie?

I keep thinking about this, I wonder if they will already be enrolled into the school and skip their origins, purely because it is now ten years later. Xavier must be taking his time to get those guys, unless they do it in a way of showing cyc and jean already at the school and recruiting storm (I say storm because she is the only one who hasnt had some form of origin in any of the movies)

I dunno, but im not sure what ages they would be in the 80's or late 70's to be recruited.

Jean was 6 in 1973, if someone expetected her to be more than 16, he shouldn't left school. If all 3 are 16 in 1983, they're 56 at end of DOFP, fair enough.

Why would they confirm Cyclops,jean,and storm If they only made cameos
at end of film and they would be casting them now?

It was one thing In DOFP not to have a "X-Men" In past.You had bunch of mutants in future part of film to be X-Men of sorts.That's not the case In
Apocalypse.

DOFP was bit of followup to trilogy but it's best to call it sequel to First Class or second part of First Class Trilogy.

Thats like saying Men in Black 3 isn't really MIB3 because the movie was set in the past and Tommy Lee Jones was just there for like fifteen minutes. Personally I see it as the 4th chapter of the Ot cast thats why its X4 for me.

Anyway, I cant wait for the casting announcements!

And what was the OT called? Men in Tights? It's all X-Men. It's not X4 in a sense, but it's not wrong to call it a sequel to the OT. That's exactly what it is.

My guess is Xavier is going to go recruiting again when he finds out what they're up against. So will Magneto.

Scott, Ororo and Jean will probably show up somewhere toward the beginning of the film and be developed to be capable of combat and field work.

DOFP was both sequel to X3 and sequel to FC. There isn't and there won't be X4, we have new timeline now. It can be only sequels to new reality from 1973 DOFP, what will be prequel to new reality in 2023 DOFP or sequels to new reality in 2023 DOFP.

With DC announcing what their films are I wonder how long till fox announces what the 2018 marvel film will be.

A Gambit solo movie definitely doesn't need a "save the world" approach at all. An adaptation of the animated series episode "X-Ternally Yours" or something from his solo comic run would be perfect.

I think the young 3 will be supporting characters throughout, but the focus will be on the first class 4 and apoc. Think beast and kitty sized roles in days of future past.

Cyke, jean and storm can still be featured heavily albeit in supporting roles by utilizing them in a student-teacher dynamic under beast/xavier.

Yes because Hugh Jackman is not a part of the OT cast. Okay. And by the way the future period lasted for more than 15 minutes.

plus different circumstances, its not so much magneto and xaviers origin anymore, i can see them more of father roles now, also remembering there is probably be alot of characters involved
