isnt it funny that days after Hardy rumour, I thought about Spacey as another strong choice for Apocalypse? We all know he would nail it as a powerfull villain.

And Bryan already worked with him, so it wouldnt be as shocking, imo

Speaking of someone Bryan already worked with, how about someone like Gabriel Byrne for Sinister? That'd be interesting.

Gabriel is pretty good, imo, I love him in 'In treatment', but... Im afraid he's a bit old for Mr Sinister, who is supposed to look always young

I guess the thing is that when I think of Sinister, I think of the character having the presence of an older actor, like age ranging from 50 to mid 60s. Maybe a stage actor would be good for that role because of that Victorian feel I have for the character.

The series has done well with stage and theater actors.

I wonder if Singer will include in this that bit he was supposedly planning for X3 where Cyc thinks they need more training and so the danger room is created? I would be nice to see the danger room because throughout the cartoons and comics it has been its own thing that helps propel stories.

I think its a sage best, since its almost the only thing Bryan hasnt showed in his movies. He even made storyboards for a X2 sequence, so with Charles building a whole new team, and all of them that young, its highly likely he and Hank built one before Apoc events.

Yep would love to see this in Apoc......... but with 80's technology... umm dunno.

Also im really coming around to Tom Hardy as Apocalypse. Joe Morton has the presence needed. Lookwise, under the blue makeup and synthetics, i think Brendan Fraser could be an option... hes quite a tall man aswell.

Even better with the 80's tech I think, Don't forget the Danger room started out as just tentacles, saw blades and crushing walls haha through the course of these new movies we could see how its being upgraded. Also for this film it would be cool to see storm in a box in the danger room to show her claustrophobia and how the team works to get her out of that situation. It could be the first thing to show her's and jeans friendship too .

I hate the fact I am studying writing. It makes me want to write an x-men script so badly but I know it would never be made haha

The Danger Room sequence was cut out of X2 at the last minute because of budget. They even got as far as (partially) building the set before it was axed. It would have taken place right before Stryker attacked the mansion. Instead of Wolverine being in the kitchen (with Bobby), he would have been in the Danger Room, in the middle of a session (interrupted by the mansion attack).

The original X2 teaser even featured Singer's Danger Room:

Michael Dougherty mentioned a really cool idea for their X3, where Cyclops would have built it, to train the team even harder, over the guilt he felt for Jean's death. TLS's DR sequence was alright but it felt like the holodeck from Star Trek. The nod to DOFP was nice though.

Dofp casting announcements started in November, so who knows?.... since Singer and crew are already making auditions, they could announce something pretty soon, if want it.

My bet is they will confirm Apocalypse actor first. Then young Cyclops and Jean.

Clive Owen's acting in The Knick has got me convinced he could be a great Sinister.

yeah casting announcements started around November last year, I remember for Dec. we got the Shawn/Ellen/Anna news and I went Ape S**** (ahhh good times)

I think the Jean/Scott/Storm news will be around December. We'll probably get the confirmation of James/Michael/Jennifer/Nick/Hugh for November.
