I doubt he'll end up as Apocalypse. Jeff Sneider isn't the type to have that be a passing mention if he were in serious contention.

BUT, it's good to get an idea of who they're looking at. High profile names.

Hopefully by next year, its too early right now. They just announced Deadpool last month.

Was Hugh not in the past and future. Your point is moot. It still was not a sequel to X3 however you try to spin it,the OT played a part yes but fr a sequel I would expect more role from the OT. I look forward to a proper sequel. I also can't wait to see a younger Storm.

Seems like a great cast of characters to me.

I'd like to see 3 separate factions: X-Men, Magneto & Acolytes (QS included), Mystique & Brotherhood (Wolvie included). Then, of course, there's Apocalypse and his gang.

I'd love for Chloe Grace Moretz to play Young Jean. Perfect for a strong character and plenty of franchise potential.

That Maze Runner kid seems fine for Cyclops, but I think young leading man actors aren't too hard to find, so I'm sure whoever Singer casts will be fine.

Unfortunately, I can't think of any young black actresses that would fit the bill for Storm, so I'd go with an unknown (let her build her career through a major superhero film).

Chloe Moretz is great. Sure she could do something with it. I haven't seen Maze Runner yet. Hope they can really get this core group right. I think raising the popularity of X-Men going forward will depend on how these kinds of characters are handled. Audiences already know Xavier, Magneto and Wolverine are great characters but they need to see how good the core X-Men are if they are to understand why there are so many X-fans out there outside of film.

Yeah that kid would be awesome for Cyclops and easily he could pass for a younger version of Marsden. He also may have some type pf relation ship with FOX, since runner is a FOX movie. He shown good leadership qualities in Maze runner but it'll end their so long as Singer and FOX has their hands all over the Xmen. Storm and Cyclops will never get justice, and now with Lawrence's popularity they'll focus more on Mystique. Halle Berry barely got much development as Storm, can you imagine a younger black actress as Storm? She'll be totally ignored with one or two lines and maybe a flash or two of mutant power.

It is set in the 80s. 80s Wolverine probably doesn't remember the events of DOFP (well the moments where future Wolverine took over his 70s body and anything that happened in the future).

Also, correct me if I'm wrong folks, but Erik and Charles are set to be in their early forties in this film, right?

Which means that Hank shouldn't be that far off from their age as well.

Honestly, I hope they decide to have Hank in full beast mode and not have him take his serum during the events of this film.

For starters, I feel like the character needs to accept that he's mutant completely and finally become comfortable with looking like the way he does (in beast form) at all times.

And finally, I don't think any amount of make up could make Nicholas look like he's in his mid thirties.lol

if they want to look at storms origin then it could be the most development she has ever had

if they don't look at it... then we will have to wait and see

good point, tho. Storm will more than likely be used mainly for her powers, to make the team bigger, and with some lines here and there, but yeah, I doubt he has a strong role. Cyclops and Jean have more chances to get a decent arc, imo, taking into account they have been gone from the franchise for a very very long time, so Singer may want to give them some spotlight this time around.

That's nice idea. Farouk should care of Apocalypse's temple in Egypt.
