T Minus 7 mins.

We're watching it in the same theatre as we saw X2 :)

I had very low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. This isn't DOFP good. It's not great, but overall, it's a fun ride for X-Men fans. It's a little bloated and a little slow, but there are some great moments that make up for it. I can understand some critics being a little cold to it, but I'm surprised it's not getting a little better reviews.

Ummmm I loved it. I'm here waiting for after credits as the credits roll and I can't stop smiling.

My mouth is hurting. Lol

People in the theatre clapped. That rarely happens and My siblings and I always watch the midnite openings for these genre movies.

Favorite part has to be, without a doubt, the [BLACKOUT]Weapon X Berserker Rage.[/BLACKOUT] Holy ****! I've waited so long to see that done right on the big screen. That moment alone sealed the deal for me.

I felt the same exact way. I turned to my girlfriend and whispered "welp, I'm good."

Ticket was paid for by then. They could throw me anything after that and I think i'd still be satisfied.

Holy. Crap. Finally.

So what was up with the [BLACKOUT]terrible wig for Weapon X.[/BLACKOUT] Seriously Felix...I swear Felix is this franchise's new Mingenbach. :drl:

As I've said before I wasn't super optimistic about this movie. The trailers did absolutely nothing for me, which was a downer because I'm such an X-Men fan. I've never been happier to be wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed that movie. Sure, objectively you could nitpick and dissect it, but for a fan like me it was a damn fine X-Men movie. Lot of really great moments throughout and I really look forward to where they go next with it.

That moment alone sealed the deal for me. The finale was really well done too. Loved all Nightcrawler was doing. Wished Psylocke had a bit more to do, but overall I don't have too many complaints.

BTW, did anyone else think it kinda weird that Angel and Storm had the same haircut?
[BLACKOUT]Your favorite part was probably my favorite part too. Singer always talked about wishing he cut loose sooner with that certain character, and this was probably a long time coming. It got me so hyped for Wolverine 3.[/BLACKOUT]

Storm had a mohawk and Angel's hair was his hair without the comic book headpiece which was replaced by the tattoo, so while they end up looking a bit similar I don't think that was the intent.

Yeah that looked pretty bad. And I wish the [blackout]helmet[/blackout] looked better. And I wish he was wearing [blackout]boxer briefs[/blackout] and not [blackout]denim shorts[/blackout].

I agree with all that ^^^ but you should probably put that in spoiler tags.

Enjoy the movie! :woot:

Angel's hair reminded me of Longshot's 80s hair which is cool!

Wow that new TV Spot though. Huge spoiler.

They already spoiled the ending (as in the last two scenes) months ago with trailers, earlier TV spots, even an official production still.

Not a big deal at this point, frankly. Why fans are reacting to this now (or think this latest commercial is any worse) is beyond me.

Not so much the [BLACKOUT]Sentinels.[/BLACKOUT] Because they have been using the end scene in promotion for quite some time now. But [BLACKOUT]the firebird[/BLACKOUT] is such a great payoff for long time fans, it is a pity to not have it be a surprise in film.

So. I saw it yesterday and I was really nervous thought I tried to keep my expectations low. I really enjoyed it and don't understand all the bad critics. I'm at work right now but I might write a longer review when I have the time.
