Yea I did the same thing I still enjoyed it though and going to see it in theaters

Saw the movie (in imax 3d).
I understand certain things critics say, few of them, not most of them...but i have to say...I LOVEd the movie. Its great. And it certain deserves way more than 50 % in RT. I confess i liked it more than Civil War..

studios need to stop releasing movies overseas first if they don't want spoilers and cams making it online.

while he probally is biased since he is consulant for Fox Mark Millar on twitter is prasing Apocalypse and saying it's his favorate comic book film since GOTG
In 2014

and by most I mean all lol didn't realize it was the whole thing sigh

I liked it more than Civil War... but Civil War was good and did many things well that XMA didn't - such as giving all characters some focused moments and lines to show personality.

I have to say..forget those bad critics.. it doesnt have to be an oscar movie.. Its a great quality movie, and above all, it looks a X-MEN movie more than ever...i thinks fans will like it and its done for them
:)

I'm a very busy individual, but I finally got round to watching the film today...and I was disappointed :csad:

It isn't terrible by any means, like The Last Stand or Origins, but it is not great either. Some thoughts....

- It felt so rushed! The pacing was a HUGE problem and the script in general fell flat.
- I loved the action scenes but they were over too quickly, which brings it back to the pacing. I love seeing these iconic characters use their powers but they did not last very long at all.
- Loved the opening in Egypt.
- The performances were good, for the most part. The only one who didn't do it for me was Alex as Storm. Idk, I always envision Storm as kinda regal and elegant. I know the Storm we meet here is a poor scavenger so she isn't going to be Goddess-like by any means, but still I was wishing for better. (And she grunted an awful lot whenever she used her powers...)
- Quicksilver was great and so was Moira, which is weird because she has terrible old fashioned hair. I thought she would annoy me but she was nice.
- Apocalypse was uninteresting. He had no personality.

All in all, I love seeing the X-Men on screen again but Simon Kinberg's screenplay was BLAND. Like wtf Simon

I agree Kinberg needs to go he is a big part of the problem, having someone other then him would've made this movie even greater. Also this Storm isn't regal nor elegant we are meeting her literally fresh off the streets stealing to survive so we wouldn't be getting that Storm, though she never seemed regal or even elegant at times to me in any of the movies.

Yes, unless Kinberg has some great ideas for the next film he needs to go. Time for fresh blood.

As for Storm, I understand what you mean. She has never been regal or elegant in the movies, but she is in the comics, to me at least. In this film, she is on the streets and thieving so I never expected her to be elegant and graceful at this point, but from what I saw I cannot imagine she will grow to be that way. She just seemed too plain. Maybe in the next film she will impress.

Kinberg hasn't had great ideas since X-Men: The Last Stand...and we all know how that turned out. Why he's still employed just baffles the hell out of me.

probably because I'm more of an X-men fan, but I really enjoyed X-men: Apocalypse more too than CACW.

I to want fresh blood on this franchise, those two have played their toll now on to someone else. At least someone who can utilize more than the same characters over and over. In the comics Storm was regal AF she commanded your attention when she walked into a room all eyes were on her it's what made me fall in love with her character. Sadly that's an aspect they have yet to show onscreen and I don't think they are going that way with this version either but then anything is possible since Storm in the comics started as a street urchin and she evolved into a regal, elegant goddess who could cut you if she wanted to. Would like to see someone training her in h2h com at as he did in the comics she became pretty formidable without her powers.

I personally enjoyed Civil War... like it was the first MCU film that I saw in cinema TWICE! And the airport scene when the two groups ran to each other was just amazing! Love it!

I hope the next movie will mention that Storm's mother was a princess.

This movie was all around very great. That makes 4 superhero movies I enjoyed this year. BvS, CW, Deadpool and X-Men: Apocolypse. I wonder what will be the first one I don't(probably none, for me not to enjoy a superhero movie it has to be F4 2015 levels of bad).

I didn't really enjoy BvS. They could have made MoS2 instead.

Same here, and these are the kinds of action scenes I have been dreaming of for X-Men all these years!

I enjoyed them all too but there are things I would have improved on BvS and X-M:A.
