This **** is about to get rebooted ... The X-Men series is a joke. It makes zero sense. the timeline... Wtf

Just give in and make a deal like Sony. It's the only solution at this point

Deadpool is all they've got going for themselves

It is amazing that people still don't understand the difference between Fox and Sony, and their various situations.

Ive got to respectfully disagree, my friend. You cant let the timeline inconsistencies bother you. I let go of that stuff way back during First Class. I could care less if these time lines synch up perfectly to X1 and X2. And I'm perfectly happy to pretend X3 and Origins never existed. So long as the movies are good and fun, eh, who cares. But thats my opinion.

I'm guessing you werent a fan of Apocalyspe...or any of the last several Xmen films?

Fox is incompetent, a MCU deal is literally the only option now

It is really fascinating. Sony was pretty much falling apart, which is why they needed to make the deal with Marvel. Fox, not so much.

Regarding Havok.

I wouldn't mind seeing him return as the leader of a new brotherhood at some point. Bit difficult given he's killed off, but given how they chose to avoid showing that I think there could be some way of getting around that. I think it would be a great opportunity to see both Summers brothers go head to head like they have in the comics.

I think they can fix all these deaths that they had via sinister he's done it in comics so it's not a big deal he can bring back havoc frost banshee and even azazel and they can use them as marauders

I guess Marvel's relationship with Fox is not as toxic as people would like to believe. Marvel's relations with Universal on the other hand.....I don't even think they are on speaking terms.
While their TV and Film divisions are separate, things are never toxic when money talks probably.

Havoc's death was senseless and empty. And Kinberg's reasoning for it is just as senseless.

Then again, this is the same writer behind the senseless deaths of Xavier, Jean and Scott in X3-----which threw us back in time with FC--which caused DOFP--which produced a new wave of effed up continuity errors we're dealing with now.

It's like a band-aid put on top of another band-aid applied to another band-aid. When will they actually address the wound?

Havocs death had emotional weight unlike Scotts in X3.

I think they could easily bring him back with Sinister coming into the picture.

just came back and i got to say i really enjoyed this movie a solid 7.5-8/10 for me

Legion :D

I have zero interest in this show idk why I'm trying to get excited for it but I just can't. I was slightly interested in the Hellfire one though, I think they could've came up with better ideas for tv shows then these two.

I'm the opposite.

“It’s such an artist’s market, especially in television,” he says excitedly. “Four hundred-plus scripted shows on television, it means there are all these places to go and watch stories be told. The only way that USA Network can distinguish themselves from Netflix is to make something different and better. So they make Mr. Robot. And different and better? Let’s do that. Let’s not rely on all the old formulas. Let’s not have a case of the week.”

the fox haters refuse to understand why the deal was reached.SOny Is in terrable finacial shape.SPider-man is all they got.they may lose distrubtion
for James Bond films to fox or Universal.they are so desperate for hits that is why they are doing ghostbusters female reboot and 21 jumpstreet/MIB crossover.Fox Isn't.Hell Kinberg is still blowing smoke on another FF film with cast.Which i don't believe at all.if fox does anything with FF they will reboot again prior to 2022 deadline.and even that Isn't sure bet.If X-men is rebooted it would be by fox and it appears apocalypse was good enough to
keep going with younger cast.If X-men is rebooted it would be by fox.
People need to realize if a sony like deal would happen then deadpool would be rebooted too.and if people think disney would do a r rated deadpool they
are crazy.

DOFP essential rebooted the timeline.the triolgy and first 2 wolverine films
have been esential erased.and do that many really care on origins and last stand being erased?the films are no longer prequel to original trilogy so it's ilrelvent what happened in original trilogy for apocalypse and future films.

if bryan singer doesn't return after 20,000 leagues under the sea which i think is highly probaly now after apocalypse under-performing.still apocalypse will probally end up as third highest grossing entry in series worldwide after Deadpool and DOFP.

Havocs death had emotional weight unlike Scotts in X3.

I think they could easily bring him back with Sinister coming into the picture.

I'd rather have Layla Miller resurrect him for two reasons.

1. Sinister kind of needs a backup of Havok's DNA before his death.

2. Havok has always been more associated with X-Factor. The only times that Havok was with the X-Men were in the late 60s when there were no spin-off titles, in the late 80s when Scott was the one in X-Factor and in the early 2000s when X-Factor was cancelled and Chuck Austen was writing. I personally don't care much for the pre-Claremont stuff and I care even less for Chuck Austen's run. Havok will always be a member of X-Factor to me and I'd like to see him join that team whenever Fox does the second film or season of it. First X-Factor film or season should revolve around Shatterstar, Mojo and Spiral. Better yet, make the Shatterstar story a film and make it a backdoor pilot for a TV series.

^I see what you mean I just think that would give more emotional weight for Cyclops and co next film.
It is amazing that people still don't understand the difference between Fox and Sony, and their various situations.

Some people are idiots...:o

Marvel is probably using the TV shows to slowly implant mutants in the MCU as a top secret, paranormal thing like the Inhumans are in Shield. You can secretly introduce mutants in the MCU through TV. The main mutants will be born later in the MCU timeline if and when the rights revert and Marvel decides to reboot X-Men.

As for now, expect Gambit and Deadpool movies. Followed by X-Force and eventually another trilogy with the X-Men team at the end. I'm thinking way down the line though, when the cast gets a bit older. The only actors you definitely need back are McAvoy, Turner, and Sheridan, and Shipp. I feel everyone else can be recast or omitted.

How much should we worry about tagging spoilers in this thread and the forum in general at this point?

Yeah because the tv shows and films connect with each other so well. :woot:

I still believe Legion should be separate from the films.

Probably another week to be polite, at the very least.

It will be. They've pretty much been saying it from the start.

Random thought: Apocalypse using the TV to learn about the world gets a lot of flack (admittedly the way it's done is pretty hokey) but I don't actually hate it. Apocalypse hates the superficiality of the world and the TV stands in for that. The celebrities and politicians you see on TV are the false gods Apocalypse is talking about. He's been replaced by coca cola.
Related to TV, I think Legion could be pretty good. His last solo in the comics was quite good.

i think the future is really bright for this franchise it might not be as good as dofp or FC but this film was a fun ride(7.5/10 for me) and set up a damn good x men team for the future

might be the first time i have liked scott summers on film
