No doubt about that, that's a must stories of that magnitude they can't squeeze into one film which is what we got here. If it was longer into two parts I really think the movie would've been received well it was just to much to tell and not enough in one movie.
Nobody has a budget for that anymore. People are already complaining about Thanos before his movie has even arrived. I've heard a lot of "Guess I'll have to do this myself (but first I'll sit around in my space throne for 12 movies before I show up)". The two parters are gimmicks and only work if there is proven economical return.
Remember your creative writing teacher telling you you had to cut material to meet a page limit, otherwise you get a warning if not a deduction? Sometimes you just have to work with what you have in the limited time frame of major motion picture story telling.
Apocalypse was butchered. We have to move on. We can complain if they **** it up again in the next reboot or time travel.
