I just want a good movie, I don't care if it's the First Class people or the OT cast.

I was just saying the solution of bring back the OT cast is flimsy at best.
I don't think there is any clear course of action with the X-Men film series

I don't see using the FC cast bringing much success and I don't see bringing the OT cast says Jackman bringing much success either

I wouldn't call it a solution but I'd be my first step to bring back the momentum.

Like I said, why Fox would want to reward that cast another film when there's another cast that is more marketable and more tested.

Another thing, going back and forth to the past and present has to stop. Deadpool 2/Wolverine 3/Gambit are all set in the present, why should the X-Men stay in the past? because the cast is likable? yet that didn't translate at the box-office.

First Class didn't help The Wolverine that much in North America.

Anyway, the point is, they should make movies with the more marketable cast. Doesn't matter if the movie is great if people aren't interested with the faces that they are seeing in the trailers, posters and other promotional stuff.

And like I said, X-Men shouldn't be boxed in the past when the other films are in the present.

Isn't the easiest way to find new mainstream excitement by casting a heteronormative violent macho ******* character like Cable with a equally masculine boxoffice star to replace Jackman's star power as Wolverine and the franchise is saved? Cable has a metal arm and guns and I heard very impressively huge balls! What else do North American audiences want in a successful mainstream movie judging by superhero blockbusters in the last years?

Cable is a timetraveler so they even could use him to bring the different timelines closer together...he can get introduced in Deadpool but travel to the past to train the X-Men in the 1990s. If done right, they could even introduce him already in a post credit scene in Wolverine III and send him together with X23 on their first mission in the present to meet Deadpool.

In brief, big balls are crucial for my argument! Otherwise we will not get the desired boxoffice success to become a happy fanboy family again!

I think you are right and it is why Cable casting could be long. A key player for the franchise. If Deadpool 2 is a hit, put Calbe in the next X-Men movie, problem solved.

Look Legion and other serie could have some connection with the franchise:

Singer discussed Legion, which he is executive producing for FX, saying it is designed to be a series that is "part of the X-Men universe, but when you watched it, you wouldn't have to label it, it could exist completely on its own." He said it and another planned X-Men series "will relate to future X-Men movies." And he added it would feature a “really ambitious and fun and very unique storyline.”

Just speculation but i can fell multiverse with Legion's power.

I just hope LegiXn doesn't confuse people if its really part of the X-Men movie universe or not. Because I don't want more continuity errors! But I really hope LegiXn is gonna be kick-ass!

If they use the multiverse, they can do whatever they want. Just need to show others world exist.

I really hope for better choreographed fight scenes and power displays in the future. They've always lacked on that but because the story line was always the strong point, it was never really a huge hindrance.

That could be cool! But we'll see. Though I'm still effy, that is on TV. Like if each episode is getting a blockbuster live-action film treatment with the action/budget, okay great and awesome but if people thought some of the X-Men films looked budget movies or made for Tv movies, what about X-Men TV show like this one. We shall see.

And with my experience watching those Marvel shows (ABC/Netflix), they didn't really have a big budget and a lot of bigger stuff were just saved to the final episode, like they held back a lot in terms of visuals and action.

I really hope Wolverine 3 has a lot of amazing kick-ass fighting scenes especially its Hugh's final film as the Wolverine. Though Deadpool really was just amazing! The action was just superb!!! :ilv:

First CLass wasn't that well received by non nerds/fanboys.

Not really. But the point is that i don't think everyone had their eye on the ball...

Thx, i really want to know why Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty didn't write XA. Beside, we saw recently Singer and Harris together with Peter Rice (Chief Executive Officer of Fox Networks Group) in Scotland.

Michael Dougherty will be at Virtual Reality Society Conference with Singer. Maybe something is up (not necessarily for X-Men).

Well I wouldn't entirely disagree with that. It did get a lower Cinemascore rating than X3. But anyway, I wanna see Polaris in a X-Men film! :woot:

Well technically Wolverine 3 may be set in the further future, who knows how many years in the future but i assume quite a few years to age, enough to logan abit.

And 2023 even then isn't our present day so what is their present day exactly?

Legion and other show may be their attempt to do something similar to netflex shows.expanded the universe.

Wolverine film is set sometime after 2023.X-force film proablly will to if rumors of x-23 introduced in it so she can fill wolverine type role in X-force.

as for Cable hopefully they keep him with deadpool and X-force.bad idea when they tried to make him an X-Man in comics.

I ain't putting to much thought into what bryan said about that show untill we find out more because for ages we was told differently

Kinberg also made statements suggesting this and we kind of dismissed it.

the real puzzling thing why would marvel partner up with fox on these tv shows especilly if they are part of X-Men cinematic universe.

Singers legion comments were very vague.. its part of the same universe.. but completely stand alone..

pretty sure it will reference mutants as a race.. but beyond that you wont have any film tie ins

Really?
It's box office receipts and it's CinrmaScore isn't great either. Only a B+ isn't good for that

Not sure it means much, I know the RT is really good in critics and audience, I know during DOFP there was a thing on the mountain dew Facebook page where people got a chance to vote out of X2 or FC which X-men movie they would want to be shown in a certain green screen theater and FC won.

It's a presumption to talk for people you can't really talk for.

How is it presumptuous talk when I'm showing you the facts. Disappointing box office (2nd lowest domestic and worldwide returns of the series even adjusted for inflation it's the 2nd lowest grossing ) and a "low" CinemaScore (tied with XMOW for the lowest of the series)

And before anyone says anything. I'm not saying that it's hated. I'm saying that the fanboy community loves it way more than the GA. And what I said before at least somewhat proves it.

You know you also have to base gross also proportional to budget. X:A was not nearly as expensive as DOFP which actually ended up in the red. I believe X:A at least turned a modest profit.
