Am I the only one that could have lived without the QS mansion scene?

Quick Silver ain't that fast man. That's Mark Waid Wally West fast.

But it also felt more "out of place" than the mall scene. It also felt studio mandated. Something like "they really loved it in DOFP so do it again, but BIGGER and BETTER this time".

Would not have shot that (expensive set piece) and kept the mall scene and added more Jubilee in the movie.

But I don't know ****. I'm just a fan who loves movies and comic books.

It was awesome especially the dog eating a pizza.

Maybe you just aint looking in the right places

The problem in a nut-shell. You don't have to look to see things that have gone viral. Apocalypse came and went compared to both DOFP and its comic book competition this year.

i am going to take unpopular oporion singer wasn't wrong to delete the mall
sequenze but the quicksilver sequenze wasn't a good idea.

No, you're not alone.

I know some people didn't like it as much but QS knocking Apocalypse around was pretty awesome.

That was the best sequence of the entire movie.

Dunno about that, look at civil war, it made alot of money but i can't tell you how people received the new spider-man because i have seen very little public mentions of him but then maybe if i made an effort i could find out.

I assume there is mixed views on the Spider-man outfit, but thats me guessing since i seen no viral applaud about him or the outfit to the point i wouldn't think there was any hype behind him at all but i am sure there is.

^^thats because you clearly spend too much time in X-men related stuff to pay attention to anything else lol

spidey went pretty viral man, if you weren't living under the x-rock you would have known that... was it as big as joker news? no.. not completely but spidey being in civil war was viral about as much on par with apocalypse costume hate. both of those were very viral

I still can't believe how lame Apocalypse (the villain) wound up being in this. To me, that was the most egregious thing about the movie.

Well according to you if it gets the hype i should hear about it anyway rather then having to pay attention to certain areas of the net

and i don't mean the hype before its release i mean after, the reception of the new spider-man, i have seen no one talk about him, i didn't mind the new spider-man, infact i thought there were some good ideas there, but i dunno if anyone shares those views because i ain't seeing facebook posts pop up shouting about how great spider-man was so hype is hype but if you ain't looking for it you won't always find it.

again.. not if youre not gearing all the news to what you care about... then you'd be open to seeing encompassing news of everything else...

Does that work the same for own opinions on something, if you like something you are more likely to see those sorta comments then those who didn't like that same something?

.. if you're following things that pertain to things you're interested in.. you tend to see that world more than anything else.. Facebook specifically works that way.

I don't follow "just" spider-man stuff.. i follow Marvel, DC, general comics, Fox-men, lots of TV, lots of film, etc... my likes and news are well rounded because im more a less a fan of just about everything in the genre.. so I tend to see news about everything.

if you mostly only heavily follow X-men, your posts are going to mostly be X-related Just like if you follow FOX news.. most your news stories will be conservative related.

Not really, if i am honest i seen more random comments about suicide squad but thats more blasphemy about the reviews, i haven't followed suicide squad, i wasn't hyping for suicide squad but i do get the impression people are butt hurt about it all

So yeah i have seen more talk on suicide squad on if you like facebook then mentions of civil war in general, perhaps thats down to the fact that civil war is technically avengers 3 and while people loved it you won't get that same hype that people made for the very first avengers movie when it was the new thing.

im just telling you how social media actually works.. its really not debatable that's literally how it works.

My own experience on social media was that I saw people loving the new Spider-Man, Black Panther and the airport battle in Civil War.

For XM:A it was all overshadowed by criticism of the look of Apocalypse. Even the brilliant Psylocke was the centre of complaints about the psychic whips, which most fans seemed unfamiliar with and therefore deemed an abomination that had them reaching for Xanax.

Batman v Superman was heavily criticised online. Suicide Squad got a more mixed reaction before release and a better reaction after release.

Comic book discussion groups are difficult places to be these days. Mostly studio wars being fought by fanboys. It was quite refreshing when a comic-con was held near me and it was really was about the comics - they said they wanted nothing to do with the movie adaptations, but to focus on the source material and foster originality and creativity.

I seen negative comments about her outfit also, i aint totally sure why, think some felt it was demeaning for her to wear a bright purple scantily clad outfit

Although comic-accurate, the costume stood out too much for some people because it was so skimpy and revealing when almost everyone else was in some sort of armour.

I had no problems with it at all. She carried off the look brilliantly and she insisted on that costume.

I just thought she was too marginalised. She might have come across as less of a sexualised piece of T&A to the detractors if she'd had dialogue/characterisation to show identity, strength and that she chose to look/dress that way.

The movies do need to do more with the ethnically diverse characters (and, thus, cast) who are available to them.

studios have turned comic cons into their events.plenty of films and tv shows which should not be there.

to me those critzing look of apocalypse just shows to me they had it into for film.

i didn't like spider-man at all in civil war.just like i wasn't fan of quicksilver sequenze in Apocalypse.

X-men is about 50% of my comic book collection.spider-man about 30% batman 10% with superman, avengers, and fantastic four last 10%

civil war is first film with spider-man i didn't rush to buy on dvd or itunes.
I still haven't seen surcide squad.that is huge indictment with all the batman related characters in it.i payed to see civil war in theaters.I just don't understand criticing psylocke's looks and powers.

I am personly at crossroads with comic books adaptian.especilly since i am fed up with consent reboots.

with spider-man my intrest in homecoming is at all time low.to be fair i had a bit low anticping for amazing spider-man in 2012 till i went and saw the film since i didn't want reboot.after that i loved the film and still do.but my intrest in new spider-man is even lower.the trailers are going to have to win me over and from what i heard at comic con didn't impress me at all.stark in homecoming isn't helping.

I will make decsion to see avengers infinity and it's sequel when time comes.

I am debating rather to even bother anymore with DCEU.

Besides wolverine film my intrest in X-men slate is also rather low.The idea is benching X-Men for deadpool sequels, the new mutants, and eventully X-force isn't appealing at all.with X-men my main intrest when i collected them was in main team with the other books on a case by case basis.and i never picked up deadpool solo book in my life.so that tells you why i am not as wild into deadpool as others.

and quite honestly i think all the studios are going to eventully cause an crashing of genre since not every title needs to be made into film.

to wear an outfit like psylockes, you have to own it.. just as much as rebecca owned basically being nude.. and Psylocke did not own it. because she wasn't given a chance to with the way she was written.

Well really its pretty tough to explain a bright purple outfit in general or why someone would run around wearing one, its just because of the comics that she got that outfit in the movie and even then she wasn't originally even gonna have that outfit

Then again i remember some didn't like vipers green outfit in the wolverine also

I tell ya, you can't seem to please people. They complain about the black leather outfits and then when they get something more comic accurate they complain it doesn't look right...good grief

thats because the people complaining about the comic accurate costumes are likely those who liked the black leather..

Psylocke in the movie was just such a cliché and she looked ridiculous. The same costume with actual pants would have been so much better. Silent Ninja assasin in a bikini. Seriously? It is 2016 and they give us a female comic book character wearing a bikini. When she is using her whip I couldn't believe how ridiculous she looked. Why a whip? Is there anything more ridiculous (borderline sexist) for a women to use as a weapon? :whatever:

She is wearing a bikini, jumping around and she needs to be careful not to show the entire world her vulvar...she was wearing skin-colored panties to make sure her vagina was not in the open...

no, just no!
