I doubt they will recast Hoult, but they should use CGI for his Beast form.

And I would LOVE to see and hear Kelsey Grammer's Beast once again.

They should have (Dark) Beast in X Force, use CGI for most of the beast form and really go all out on him...

Honestly they should just make Straight to Blu Ray animated movies with OT voice actors that way OT only fans can have X-MEN who can still look in their 30's instead of 50+

Kelsey is still well up for it. Sad we won't get a proper role for him in a good film.

Unless they did "Age Of Apocalypse"

I would love a AoA movie to redeem Oscar in Full Mo Cap.

Put Fassbender on ice for a few movies so he can do other projects etc then Do a X-MEN Alpha/Legion Quest amalgamation.

Have Legion time travel to 1960's to kill Magneto.

Bring in the old cast (do a AoU/CW beginning of the movie type action scene with the old cast finally) and have maybe 4 or 5 of them time travel to this exact moment

And have a battle where Legion kills Xavier by mistake and the movie ends like the comic with the timeline fading away

Then the sequel focuses on Magneto's X-MEN vs Apocalypse and a proper 4 Horsemen like Nemesis Famine etc

Beast should be CGI like Hulk in my humble opinion.

I think we're at a time when CGI Beast could work. Maybe we're too deep into a franchise to make a change like that though, and honestly X-Men has an inconsistant track record with effects. It would suck if he looked worse than the current wolf-man incarnation. Also worth considering the increased cost at this point. The main X-Men films aren't particularly profitable as it is.

Some iffy wirework aside, I still think he looked best in TLS.

The last time they tried that we were watching the "Cat in the Hat".
Best Beast looks are undeniably the ones from DOFP and TLS.

If you wanna do CGI Beast outside of the transformation, expect complaints about CGI unless Serkis's studio or Favreau miraculously decide to do it. Everyone else with a furry creature even the one from BATB look most obviously not there.

Just because they did a poor job doesn't mean a good job can't be done. That's like saying they shouldn't use green screen anymore because the 3rd act of Apocalypse looked fake as hell.

Indeed TLS Beast looked great, problem is unlike Grammer, Hoult doesn't have the built and mass to look like the comic Beast with makeup and prosthetics.

Check the rest of my post you quoted.

Certainly more than Nicholas Hoult.

Again, your point is that these guys shouldn't do CGI Beast because they simply can't (only Favreau and Serkis can -- but you seemingly forget about Hulk) and that same argument could be used for the action, VFX and costumes of this franchise which at times don't hold up to current CBMs either but that doesn't mean we should settle or expect less. I'd rather expect goodness.

If you wanna believe we'd get another "cat in the hat" Beast if CGI was used, good for you. For me this franchise fluctuates too much from movie to movie to expect the same things, one minute we get Yellow/Blue costumes, the next we're back to black costumes, one minute we get a good looking Mystique, the next Mystique looks cheap, etc.

You can manipulate the size much more if they're not as stocky.

I didn't forget about Hulk. He's not a character covered in fur.
The argument being, as a matter of fact, there aren't nearly as many people within the industry capable of making hairy CGI characters in "live-action" flicks look not so obviously cartoony/fake.

X3 Beast looked great, not the Ape beast that is in the comics, but still look great for a live action adaptation. An ape CGI beast could just look distracting IMO,and obviously it would mean more $$$ to pay to the vfx companies.

Actually what bothers me more than Beast and more than Mystique's body suit is when they use the shiny blue make-up when Jennifer isn't wearing the body suit. For example when she is wearing the black outfit in Apocalypse. The coloring makes her look very unnatural.

Funny enough i remember reading that they wanted to make beast look a little thinner in apocalypse.

its true that if they wanted they could make beast look more stocky but i don't think thats what they wanted to do.

It's not Coming out anytime soon. New Mutants and Deadpool Two have yet to start filming despite the numerous report of their early 2017 filming start.

They said Deadpool will begin filming in May & New Mutants late April.
