This hurts, just a little lol. I honestly thought Affleck was solid in BvS. But it does annoy me how people just fall over themselves to call him the best when we've only see him play a very extreme, out-of-character version. In one movie, that wasn't even a proper Batman movie.

I know Conroy has given Bale some grief about his voice, so I'm not entirely surprised he said this. I also do think Bruce's public persona in BvS felt similar to Conroy.

Good for him i guess. I love his Batman always but i guess that doesn't mean we have to agree, since i find Affleck's version to be massively uninteresting, unlikable and overrated

Meh, Bale still kills it in the best Batman/Bruce Wayne polls.

I liked the potential for Affleck in BvS. He still has a long way to go when it comes to bringing the dramatic gravitas that Bale brought to the role, IMO.

Not surprised that Conroy is one of the fanboys, it's what he's built a career upon.

Also, what do you guys think about the recent rumors of the studio looking to phase out Affleck out of the role?

You guys are right actually. The headline is not exactly what Conroy said, although it could be interpreted that way.

Batman-News has pretty much become everything BOF was accused of being, only for the DCEU. Chris seems like a perfectly nice guy and an enthusiastic fan, I have nothing against him. But, yeah.

As for Conroy, he is by no means a fanboy. He has been asked this question hundreds of times and always varies his answers, depending on what people what to hear (which is pretty smart).

Previously, he has said that Keaton was a better Batman, but Bale was the better Bruce. We also know he disliked the personality and penchant for killing that Affleck's version has, but his comments seems to be hinting at his potential.

Remember, he is still employed by WB, so he has to be careful what he says.

In all the years that he has been asked this question, he never retroactively said anybody played the part wrong.

His only real criticism of an actor/director is Bale's Batman voice (which he blames Nolan for). So I doubt he'll have some sort of ridiculous epiphany declaring Bale the best.

It's funny how much Batfleck and DCEU fanboys have to let us know how much the Nolan trilogy sucks. Pick a scene, any scene from the trilogy on youtube, go down to the comments section and there is always a top comment about how much Nolan's movies suck or how Bale sucks or how brilliant Snyder is.


If they are so good what are they doing watching TDKT on youtube? You don't see the reverse. If you watch a BvS scene, sure some comments are from disgruntled MCU fanboy lambasting it. But I never see a Nolanite talking about how much better the trilogy is. It's mostly a one sided affair.
