Ahhh mah stomach hurts again, from the laughtaaah!
I thought so too early on, i think we all did. Now it seems like he always has a robot voice, no matter the suit.I thought he was going to have the modulated voice in the mech suit? Unless that was specifically for the trailer.
Anyone seen the new Joker poster? That damaged tattoo just ruins it. I am fine with his overall apparel (why barefoot though?), bit that freaking tattoo sticks out like a boiling wart.
I think it's perfect myself, looks like the Joker, just another version of it,
This eyesore looks like another version of the Joker, too. Still ugly as sin.

And calling the Leto design perfect.....well respecting opinions and all but wow. Perfectly bad is the only way I think the word perfect fits into a sentence for that.
Each to their own.
Each to their own.
Yeah of course, but calling a design perfect is a mighty strong label. I'm genuinely curious what other costume designs in CBMs do you consider perfect if any?
Also please don't take heed of theShape's post. Our discussion can go somewhere interesting as I am genuinely interested in hearing your thought process on this, and despite the implication of theShape's post I am not trying to stop you liking what you like, or to change your opinion, as anyone who knows me here will attest to.
It's that kind of attitude that prevents good discussions from taking place, and provokes hostilities. As if challenging or questioning someone's opinion can't go anywhere, or seen as some kind of attempt to stop someone from having the opinion they have.
I've loved all the Joker designs in live action, Erm God it's hard to think haha. Do you just mean villains?
I thought the Gren Goblin costume in Spider-Man was perfect(that ones a joke
)
But I'm fine continuing the discussion, I don't feel it's going anywhere it shouldn't be... Yet
You can see that he's not barefoot throughout the entire movie.

No it doesn't have to be villains it can be any character. I don't mean which ones you loved, I mean which ones do you consider perfect. I've loved many designs but I don't think they're perfect as there is always something I feel could be tweaked or changed. There's only a small handful of costumes I consider perfect in that there isn't anything I think needs altering, and truly captures the spirit of the comic book image like Iron Man, Captain America's in The Winter Soldier, and Sandman's in Spider-Man 3
Lol three attempts at doing a Goblin, and Sony still haven't gotten the design right. Hopefully Marvel will fix that when they inevitably tackle the Goblin storyline down the road.

I know, I never said he was. I said I hate the barefoot look. Since they're promoting the image in posters and stuff as part of the marketing for the character, I'm guessing he must have it for a significant part of the movie.
He's bearfoot and wearing the Arkham sweat pants in the shot in the trailer where he's walking to Harley. So I guess he doesn't have any shoes in Arkham and when his gang breaks him out they brought him his cane and coat. Although I don't know why all the Joker promo images are from the Arkham breakout scene.
Also a lot of the designs from The Batman were horrible.

I'm quote open to changes, funnily enough (minus the bat nipples) I think the Val Kilmer Panther costume from Batman Forever is a near perfect (all black) Batman costume. Iron Man's is pretty flawless in all the Marvel films.
Which Cap costume? The one he has at the end or the one he has earlier in TWS? Cause I love the one he has later which is slightly updated from the one in The First Avenger.
For a look at a different take on costumes I thought Spider-Man's in the first Amazing Spider-Man I thought was perfect to. It was updated to brilliantly, I preferred it to the classic look and of course even though I'm a little bias I thought the Superman costume in Man of Steel was another update costume that was perfect (I actually don't know why they changed it for BvS even though I like that costume to).
Villain wise I agree Sandman was spot on, as I said all the Joker's, Loki looked very comics accurate I don't think they could have done that any better. Red Skull is probably my favourite comic advocated to screen villain in terms of look, that one was perfect.
Yeah they were all pants
I don't even know how you do it tbh, it's a tough one.
They will CGI those out later

Ok well minus bat nipples so there's a change right there you'd make![]()

Yeah the later one. The main one of TWS. Loved it.
Really you thought the first TASM one was perfect? The shoes had silver lining, the gloves design was all wrong, the costume looked like it was made from basketball material, and it didn't have the classic belt like design at the waist. Not to mention sometimes the crotch looked black; http://images.starpulse.com/news/bloggers/8/blog_images/andrew-garfield-is-spider-man.jpgI just thought it was a perfect update, thought it just looked great. I honestly preferred it to the one they changed it to in the sequel. I guess I just thought it was cool lol
Why do you as a Superman fan consider the MOS suit more perfect than say Reeve's?
Don't get me wrong I love the classic suit, although I think the suits from the old days haven't aged well. Thankfully Reeve's performance is so good, he takes away from that and it's of its time. Again, we're talking updating the suit for the modern day and I though the MOS nailed, it the texture, the S, the cape.mpretty flawless IMO. Much btpetter than the New 52 redesign which is terrible (I prefer the T-Shirt and cape look to it aswell).
Oh yes, good shout out for Loki and Red Skull. They were pretty darn accurate. I still can't wrap my head around thinking all the Jokers have been perfect, unless you mean perfect for what they directors were trying to do with them.
I just think all the Joker's looked great, even Romero's which should have ages but I don't think it has. I think you could do any of the Joker looks in a movie today and they'd still look great. The one constant in all of them (again I'm talking live action only cause even I don't like that The Batman design). I think you look at all of them and you see the Joker. Well I dot:
What you don't think green spandex with purple elf boots and a night cap won't translate well into live action?![]()
I'd rather they do that for the tattoos instead![]()

That's why I said near-perfect![]()
Totally agree, brilliant. Much better than what he wore in the first Avengers, which was Erm shall we say not very goodt:

Oh apologies, I misread that
Actually since you mention Schumacher, Poison Ivy's outfit in the Botanical Gardens scene and several other scenes was pretty damn perfect, and Uma was smoking hot with lovely long red hair like Ivy should have. I'd put her as one of the perfect design ones.
Haha well I call the first Cap one passable. Certainly didn't bother me. It was more a working in progress type thing. It helped that he was in the old WW2 time, and the costume was more kind of kooky old school.
Now there's an unpopular opinion (not that that's a bad thing). Most people drool all over the TASM 2 suit. While I think it's great I don't think it's the be all end all of Spidey suits.
But hands down that TASM suit is the worst of all the Spidey movie suits in my book for the aforementioned reasons. I think they heard the fan complaints and that's why it got a total revamp, and with no explanation. Spidey just has it in the sequel from the get-go. It was like 'Yeah lets just pretend he had this one all along' lol.
That's fair enough. For all my complaints of MOS, the suit isn't one of them. I thought it looked pretty good. Maybe I'm wearing some nostalgia goggles but my heart still lies with the classic Reeve ones as best. See this is why I like gauging other's insights, even if I don't agree with it, it's cool to hear why they feel that way. I can understand your opinion by asking you to elaborate.
This shaped up to be a very good discussion I think:
Well The Batman was just for analogy purposes of how a design can still look like the Joker and be ugly as hell. As a Joker fan I hate disliking the look of my favorite villain. Especially when such a brilliant actor is playing him with such promise. Honestly Leto's potential for excellence, and the script's potential to give him some amazing material to work with, are the things that's keeping me from writing him off.
And yeah Cesar Romero along with Burgess Meredith, Frank Gorshin, Adam West, Burt Ward....all PERFECT designs.
