Ugh... I typed a longer response to this and I got an error when I was about to post it. :argh:

Ah, that makes sense. You know, for a while there, [BLACKOUT]I actually thought Jesse saw a Ricin cig on his pack and Walt was planning on poisoning him. [/BLACKOUT]

Remember that GIF I said that I thought spoiled me? It was that set of both Walt and Jesse [BLACKOUT]making the video confession[/BLACKOUT]. I'm so glad that like the Gus thing, it turned out to be not like how I thought it would play out. :funny:

Is this a spoiler? :funny: Based on what I've seen so far, he's an oveager POS beaver, which of course Walt likes because it strokes his ego.

I finished ep 12 last night so I'm planning to do 13/14 tonight and then the last two tomorrow night. This show officially ruined my social life for 3 weeks :oldrazz:

Ah sh**...I think you have to blame me, I was the one who reblogged that. lol :oldrazz:

BTW what were people thinking/feeling about Walt this season? [blackout]I mean, he's brilliant and awesmoe and all that but can't imagine everyone loving him this season as much as in the previous seasons. He's done some really, really s***ty things this season. I still haven't forgiven him for Mike. :argh: It's quite amazing how in this season, he's really both the protagonist and antagonist. Granted, I'm only speaking for the episodes I've seen. [/blackout]

Yeah this show for me has always been gray with almost every character. Walt, Jesse, Hank, Marie, ect ect have all broke bad, but yeah you can say Walt carries the biggest weight out of all of them especially in this season. I don't find myself actively hating on any character like some fans tend to do (Skyler gets the worst out of all them for some reason...even in season 5/6 sadly enough), i'm more fascinated with each of their character development and see the paths they've chosen and how logically it pays out.

BTW did something happen to the guy playing Hank during the Season 5 filming? I noticed that he lost a lot of weight and he looks soooo haggard this season. It's like the actor got sick or something.

Nah he said he was trying to lose some weight between seasons.

Ah sh**...I think you have to blame me, I was the one who reblogged that. lol :oldrazz:

Nah, it's all good. I stop spoiler tagging GIFs a week after it comes out so I can't really blame anyone for getting spoiled for shows that ended almost a year ago. :D

Yep. I think that's what makes the show great. Heck, even when they're doing bad things, I actually find myself admiring them for how they did it. While I don't hate her, I'm not surprised the Skyler got some flak. Her attitude's been yo-yo-ing in each episode. It's even more apparent when you're doing a marathon. I can't keep track wit her moods.

Nah he said he was trying to lose some weight between seasons.

Ah... I noticed the effect most on his face. He looked really, really tired. :funny:

Oh and btw great that you are watching Episode 13 and 14 tonight. They go together so well. And pro tip...get ready, Ozymandias is the best episode of show.

And here's the promo they played before the episode.

I'm going to hate you all if ep 14 doesn't live up to the hype. :funny:

I hope you like it. :woot: That one's probably my favourite, or at the very least top 3.

For those of us who watched the show as it aired, Vince Gilligan himself was hyping the episode months in advance. We all knew it was supposed to be a big episode, and I think it was pretty unanimous that it delivered in a big way.

You're in a for a ride tonight with 13 and 14 kvz5. And again...think of us poor souls who had to live with these cliffhangers...

I can't imagine waiting for a year after the S5E08 cliffhanger. I can't even wait for the next day. What more for months and months? That must be pure torture. :funny:

To be fair the speculation was fun, but yeah...that was cruel.

My guess for what would happen in S5E09 was pretty much on point.

but yeah the hype for Ozymandias was some Dark Knight sh**, so much hype and it delivered fashionably.

So... yeah... uhm. Wow. Ep 14...

[BLACKOUT]Hank!!! Jesse!!![/BLACKOUT] :waa: :waa: :waa:

[BLACKOUT]Walt![/BLACKOUT] :argh: [BLACKOUT]Todd and his *****ty gang![/BLACKOUT] :argh: :argh: :argh:

I'm going to need a lot of time to process this. And uhm... I'm totally watching 15 and 16.

:awesome:

I so wanted to say "bring a tissue" in the previous post but I didn't want to spoil it. :oldrazz:

This show does stay with you for a long time, doesn't it? It's the morning after and I can't stop thinking about it. SO GOOD. Definitely one of the best series on television. The finale was so satisfying as well. :hrt:

Ep 14 is definitely worth the hype. INTENSE is how I'd describe it. Hank's death was depressing. Heck, I even got depressed seeing Gomez bit it. I love that even though Walt was an ass all throughout the season, I still can't help but feel bad for him in the last two episodes. I still blame him for Mike and Jesse's fate though. :o Jesse... this poor kid! Seeing him chained like that was just brutal. Talk about the PTSD he will get from that experience. :waa: I totally died when they showed Skinny Pete and Badger. Love those two! :hrt:

I feel like it's on Aaron Paul's contract that he must be beaten up every season and it's on Cranston's contract that we must see him just wearing his uderwear every season. :funny:

Figures that the first thing I saw when I went on Tumblr after watching the finale is the speculation that everything that happened in the final episode after the first scene was just Walt's fantasy/dream. :funny:

The fates of Todd (and his uncle's gang), Lydia, and Gretchen/Elliot were very satisfying. Really liked how open ended the fates of the characters are after Walt's death although there's a part of me that wanted to see more of Jesse. Hopefully happy and starting fresh and not actually caught and in prison.

The acting! All the awards!

I enjoyed watching this on marathon because everything felt fresh and I didn't have to go through the torture of waiting a week/month(s) for the next episode but my regret for not watching it sooner is that I missed the experience of the hype/speculation/reviews from fans that came with it. I bet that was super fun.

I'm kind of surprised at how unspoiled I actually ended up on this show. The only thing I really knew for sure before starting to watch this was that [blackout]Walt died at the end[/blackout] but outside of a few things here and there I saw on Tumblr (GIFs), everything came as a surprise.

There's definitely a big part of me that wanted to see Walt get a darker, less redemptive sort of ending, and I found the ending somewhat disappointing at first. I think that's personally what I wanted to see- a pitch black ending where Walt somehow finds a way to sink even lower with his final actions. But over time the ending has grown on me as a fitting conclusion to the series.

Story wise it made a lot of sense to me, it is Walt's journey and what he said in the Grey Matter episode said it all.

For what time I have left, I want to live in my own house, I want to sleep in my own bed. I don't want to choke down 40 or 50 pills every single day, and lose my hair, lie around, too tired to get up, and so nauseated that I can't even move my head. You cleaning up after me. Me... me some um... some dead man, some artificially alive, just marking time... No. And that's how you would remember me. That's the worst part. So... that is my thought process, Skyler... I'm sorry, it's just I choose not to do it.

Yeah it makes total sense, it just wasn't what I was personally hoping to see at the time, in fact it was precisely the ending that I saw coming and was sort of rooting against. But in the end it's probably better that they went with an ending that fit the story they set out to tell rather than going for shock value or dark for the sake of dark. I still think Walt had a LOT of luck in his final hour and I don't think he necessarily deserved it. I just really hated Walt, sure I pitied him in the final two but I still didn't want to have to root for him. Seeing an ending that seemed to vindicate "Team Walt" kind of bugged me to an extent. I feel like there was a ballsier way they could've went out. But I'm over it now and love the show too much as a whole to let my own personal feelings cloud my judgment on what is clearly a very fitting ending.

I agree. I love it now. But at first i wanted him to go out like Scarface. For real. A totally insane shootout where Walt destroys the cops, somehow with the same machine gun he wiped Jacks men out with. I dont know how that would have went down, maybe he just finds a different machine gun in Jack's little playground. As he's hitting the cops down like a massacre, he gets hit. And then you get the same final few minutes as we got. But i just think he should have went down in a blaze of glory by not just redeeming himself, helping Jesse and getting revenge on Jack but also doing something despicable at the same time like killing innocent officers.

I do love the ending though. It ties up everything. But it's also kind of heroic with a hint of "Walt gets what he deserved". Which is why im at peace with it. Sort of. But maybe it didn't need to be so heroic. Maybe Walt should have done one final, desperate and evil deed before he goes. Maybe when Jesse tells him "do it yourself"..that sets Walt off. Jesse drives away and look at Walts face, he still looks bitter. That's when i would have him stumble into a room, find a gun, hears the sirens and steps outside waiting. He wants to die but he wants to go out like Scarface. He wipes em' all down except a few who get a couple of shots at Walt. He doesn't have Tony Montana's insane amount of bullets in his body lol, nor is he drugged up, that's not Walt, and you don't want to copy Scarface either. But it's an inspiration. He literally stumbles into the meth lab and that's when you get your ending with "Baby Blue".

Haha, I feel like I should start spoiler tagging in case some poor soul who hasn't seen the show wanders in.

See yeah, I think I could've went for something just a touch darker like that. It's the idea that Walt of achieving some sort of inner peace before dying that I took some issue with. You could've done a very close ending to the one we got, but kept Walt more detestable to the end if he took some innocents down with him like you suggested, maybe not intentionally wiping out the cops though. It just felt a little too neat and tidy, like they were trying really hard to give the audience permission to root for Walt again.

But yeah, it's still a great ending. I'm not complaining about what we got but it's still interesting to think of the other possibilities they could've went with.

I can definitely see the point of wanting a darker end for Walt but I guess not everything still went his way anyway? I mean, Walt Jr. still hates him (although that'll probably heal in time). I pitied him a lot in the last two episodes but he was such an ass in the entire season that I wouldn't have minded him getting a sadder fate. And also yeah... he was way too lucky in the last episode. :funny: I still can't get over how much hell Jesse went through. :(

Hmm.
I like his look at the end, he seems satisfied and that to me is dark. Because he has nothing. He dies on his terms (in a blaze of glory before the cancer gets him: just not as violent of a blaze of glory as me & u predicted). His son will always hate him. He never got to say goodbye to him. He ruined the lives of Skylar, Marie, Hank, etc. Who knows where Marie and Skylar end up. Marie could be on the verge of a breakdown, same with Skylar.

Everytime i write out a darker ending, i end up thinking about it hours later and end up satisfied with the real ending. I think i became at peace with it when i heard Vince Gilligan say that he ruins everyones life, gets what he deserves, to die alone in his lab, yet he's happy because his kids have the money and he gets to go out like a dangerous king forever. His name is remembered. Gilligan also said that Walt is way too intellectual to just go out like one of Jacks men would, and just unload like a thug. So they had him go out quietly, but while creating a genius device that could slaughter the whole gang.

That's why im cool with it. Even though i envisioned Scarface 2.0.

Same, though I'm a liverpool fan. We did better than you too ;)

I admit Liverpool did deserve to win PL last season but who ever collects more points wins or we lost the league by goal difference 2 seasons ago

United didn't have a chance to be top again this season. When a club changes it's manager it'll take a season for a team to get into the swing of things, particularly when that manager has the longest run in British history.

Sure they finnished 8th but much of that was the players, they lacked the passion and energy that they had last season. Though I do think some his strategy didn't just work with the team. Van Persie apparantly didn't like his training style, that's what my mate told me.

Alright folks. I wanna know what your top 25 to 50 favorite films of all time are. You can only list just 25 or 50 (if it's too hard to do less). No more than fifty, no less than twenty-five, nothing in between, you get the point. Hope to get every regular poster from this TDKR section to do this, just for fun.

Ill edit my post in a bit to include my personal Top 50.

You can include a franchise of films (a Part 1 & 2 or a whole trilogy) as one spot if you like.

Go!

This should be fun....these kinds of lists always drive me nuts...mainly because it's impossibly hard for me to name a no. 1. I'll mull this over for a bit and then come back with a list.
