Yeah it wasn't good, even though they try to explain it in Season of Infamy.

Killer Croc's Arkham Knight design was horrible.

Killer Porc?

So apparently this might be Junkie XL's new Batman theme:

I don't know if I've ever mentioned this here, but I'm a musician and film scoring is something that I've recently been trying to get more serious about (just scored my first short film last year). I thought it'd be a fun exercise for me to cobble together the theme with those bits and pieces and try to orchestrate something.

Here it is:

This is by no means perfect, the mix is still pretty rough, I might work on it some more- but figured I'd just post for feedback. I'm gonna post it in the score thread in the BvS forums too.
Dude that is awesome.

I think Roven was referring to Batman being more brutal by doing stuff like branding criminals with a hot iron and Devin Faraci took what Roven said literally.
Well, he said executioner, so the first thing that comes to my mind is killing.

Roven has to be one of the most useless producers ever. He reminds of an even more inept Rick Mccallum from the prequels.

Arkham Knight Croc may take the cake for the worst look that character has had. That's just horrid. I didn't think they could do another design as bad as Fetish Nurse Harley.

I never cared for the designs from any of those games besides Batman and Gotham City. Maybe a couple villains, at the most, but that's it.

One character certainly had a better design by Rocksteady; the Joker.

I actually didn't like AC Gotham. Felt like they took elements from Burton, TAS, and Nolan and slapped them together. Lacked a sense of consistency. AK Gotham is much better though.

The AK Gotham is definitely the best and most fleshed out version of the city, but I also really liked it in AO for some reason.

The AO Gotham is the same as AC, just with a different color balance.

Ever notice that most of the characters in the Arkham games, save for AO, look filthy? I mean their clothes, their general appearance is like they haven't washed in weeks. Even the henchmen. I don't why in AA Joker's men were all running around in their bare feet. Same goes for Bane in AA and AC. Even inmates are allowed have shoes.

I reckon they must because Ivy and Zsasz were bare foot, too. Maybe Quentin Tarantino had an influence on the games.

Zsaz has his shoes on in the interview tapes picture for Arkham Asylum.
Kinda weird he's barefoot in the game.
Maybe he ran out of flesh to carve for his kill count, and move to his feet.

Or Rex Ryan.

On the whole I find Rocksteady's Gotham to be very well realized, not just as a big playground but as a living setting that has layers and story to it. I absolutely loved the idea of the Wonder Tower in AC, a monument tied to the abandoned subterranean levels that were the remnants of the city's past. It recalled the World's Fair in Chicago around the turn of the century (which is also referenced in Mask of Phantasm) when Gotham would've been considered the bright and shining beacon of industrial progress. Gotham as it was in the present day was literally built on the grave of that idealized city. You see a bit of in it AK as well on the Founder's island.

On the whole, I enjoyed Rocksteady's Gotham. It was a fun little city.
