Why the hell didn't Radcliff at least have is arm out for her? Christ, someone teach this dude some chivalry.

Not his problem. :o

Though, yes, that would've been the thing to do...

Radcliff's head is starting to resemble a pimple about to pop more and more.

I love both the Charlize and Jane Lin (Ang Lee's wife) giggle fits. So cute!

Charlize was so hot during that bit w/ Dustin Hoffman. SO HOT!!! Her laugh made me melt inside some more! :hrt:

I was thinking the same thing. I also thought it was funny he looked at least a few years younger than KStew when he's actually 1 year older, it made them look weird together.

You like her more than Barack? Ew.

Why the 'ew'? She should've run for office instead of Barack. But that's neither here nor there.

Politics should have no part in entertainment award ceremonies. We get it Hollywood: you love the Democratic party. But don't do it in a public setting like the Oscars, it makes you look out of touch and elitist.

I thought it was a great show last night...

- Seth was awesome.
- The gags were good and the music was stunning.
- The right people one.
- Jack freakin' Nicholson was there. It never feels right when he's not.

Yeah it drags at moments, but the Oscars always does. I still wish The Dark Knight Rises was recognised in some capacity but oh well.

If Ben Affleck was nominated for Best Director by the Academy Awards, do you think he would've won it instead of Ang Lee? Keep in mind that he has won pretty much all other Best Director awards, including Golden Globe and DGA.

Just thought I'd add keep on pushing forward. I'm 24 and at the point where executives and vice presidents are already helping me proceed. I'm just a step away now from being a screenwriter. And I started off with absolutely no contacts three years ago. Just saying, dreams are possible man. :cwink:

Do you have trailer that you pull that ego of yours behind you? lmao....

Yes but then again a lot of the Argo momentum came from his BD snub.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees it.

Not to mention, I've never seen, heard or heard of any executive or vice president helping any unknown.

Now, an executive or vice president BSing someone into thinking they actually care...that happens all the time.

Am I the only one who didn't like Michelle Obama announcing Best Picture? I really like her (a lot more than her husband), but mixing politics and entertainment is a potential minefield here.
Every FLOTUS is a non-political entity. We in the public may push politics upon them, but their role isn't made of that. Only Hillary Clinton in recent years could be labeled otherwise.

The people who blindly hate the President are going to hate the cameo and some people who like the President are going to hate the cameo because it was something different. I voted for the Pres and I'm just indifferent to the cameo mostly. It was okay I guess, not a big deal.

I'm not going to lie I would have hated it if Mrs. Bush had a role in a show I was digging. I wouldn't publically say the hateful things about her that the right says about our current First Lady though. I have a little more class than that but I don't expect any better from the hard right.

It's okay to attack Mrs. Obama and her kids but not Mrs. Bush and her kids. Double standards are fun!!!

Except they really aren't.
They don't run for office. Hard to be truly political without that. I have yet to vote for someone because I thought their spouse was nice. Even platforms that a FLOTUS may have are non-political by design and aimed at helping the populace. They help with their spouses' campaigns, but again, that comes down to be married to someone.

I don't have an opinion on her appearance. It was what it was, and it wasn't much. Nothing to get ruffled about, though some have as they tend to do.

Yes, in theory, that's true.

But go ask any half-interested Republican if they think she's a non-political entity. Or ask a Democrat if they though Laura Bush was a non-political entity, what do you think they'd say?

Its a sins of the father kind of situation.

Uh? Are ****ing kidding me???? lmao. Um, the following of the girls while in college, the media following the drinking underage, ALL THE WAY to an interview with the President and his wife about what happened. They were very candid actually....REALLY? double standard???? you crack me up.

That was a legal incident involving a college age girl. That's hardly the same thing as attacks on children and Chelsea Clinton to be honest. If the Obama girls got in a drinking incident I would be saying the same thing. And the media would have loved that story as well.

The Bush girls were hounded, and YES, they were older so definitely can see how they would get more press. All I'm saying is, they all get press. But the Obama girls really have gotten next to none, compared to Bush's twins, and Chelsea Clinton....no where near as much. Which is fine, I'm not saying that they should. IMO, I teach kids their age, pretty boring stuff.....lol But, I certainly do not see a double standard. That is beginning to fall under the "Brittany guy" now screaming and crying..."Leave Obama and his family alone" sorry....but the girls have been left alone, and that is how it should be. As far as Michelle Obama giving out an award, so what? I was more interested in who the hell all those people were standing around her....:cwink:

He would have, but he shouldn't have.

It was the illuminati I tells ya!!! I'm just trying to figure out why everyone hates the bangs, I think they look alright.

From what I have heard, the Argo team Shmooosed the hell of the Academy. I loved the movie, I thought Lincoln deserved it more...but I was fine with Argo winning. Spielberg I guess needs to learn to smoosh more....

Well, with the first Mrs. Bush it was "damn she's old", Hillary Clinton, it was the hair bands, second Mrs. Bush it was the helmet head....and with Michelle its the bangs. It just goes with the territory.

I blame the illuminati for everything....including the two F's I got in college.

Oh stop. I'm no fan of the Bush presidency, but the media basically portrayed his daughters as if they were the Kardashians. I'm no fan of Sarah Palin, but it was disgusting how her children were treated by the media. So it's certainly not limited to the Obamas.

Wait, Ultimatehero's a screenwriter trying to make it? Haven't heard him say that before. :o
