All I can say is HOLY S#%$!!!!!!!!!
THAT was a kick ass show lastnight!!!

Since when is Thanos responsible for creating the Kree? This is news to me. Is it a retcon or ultimate universe bs?

1.7/5.10 million viewers preliminary rating.

Kind of figured it would be down to around this after a month long break and it now going up against NCIS and The Voice.

yeah this is really looking like the Kree-Inhuman thing is what it is. The 4 finger thing is the only thing that makes me wonder but I've seen pics of 5 fingered Kree from the books. So maybe there are different races of Kree (species) and some are 5 fingered? Or maybe it was just an oversight? Or maybe this is a retcon?

Yea that was bugging me until a bunch of people said they counted five. And from the stills I've seen it can go either way. If it is a frost giant it would be a major buzz kill for the show and kind of kill the momentum. So I doubt it will be... It would tie to asgard/thor and that's about it... Not sure the Whedon team would go that way, especially with Thor 2 out and done, Winter Soldier soon, and Guardians coming.

I've recently been reading the original Captain Marvel stuff, and the Kree/Skrull War, and all the Kree there have 5 fingers. Or at least its never been mentioned that that's not the case. Where is this four-finger thing coming from? (and the screengrab also clearly shows five, not six)

The body in AoS did seem to be larger than a human, whereas in the one-second clip of Ronan from the GotG trailer, he didn't really seem all that big compared to Drax.

As for Hunan Province (Skye's village) being near the Himilayas (traditional location of the Inhuman's city Attilan) it's a bit of a strech. Google says they're about 2000 miles apart. There still could be a connection there, but it's not like its right around the corner.

I'm not convinced GH means anything more than Guest House.

regarding what coulson saw

he doesn't look much like any of the frost giants we've seen aside from being blue. They all had weird markings, like ritual scarring or tattoos and weird bone-like protrusions or ridges.

I'm not either but wanted to make sure I posted it somewhere just in case. ;)

Whedon no doubt knows we love to dissect initials and acronyms for hidden meaning. They probably did it purpose.

Coulson to May at the end of the episode:

"I just got really scared that she would suffer the way that I did...but she didn't...for whatever reason...she didn't"

Could the "whatever reason" be that in her case the serum was derived from the same species?

Just for reference, this is approximately the same as the distance between Los Angeles and Detroit; or between Paris and Cairo.

really good episode :)

i think this will tie in some how with Guardians of the Galaxy as well possibly kree? hmmm well not tie in but have some sort of connection since in same universe

My thoughts on after this episode;

1. 101% Kree.
2. Paxton was great. More of the same and similar please!!
3. The Marvel One Shot with Coulson at the truck stop already proved he had advanced abilities, non?
4. Mar-Vell’s Agent of Shield ….jus sayin.

Despite the flaws, mostly down to the tv budget, the show has found its place. Teasing Marvel Universe stuff in interesting ways. I’m like you, love the speculation and when one of the popular theories started showing itself last night, I was excited. Looking forward to watching this show grow with the marvel movies over the next few years.

It was me. But, I was just confused, my memory of the Kree stuff is fuzzy at best. Was getting caught up with the Kree/Inhuman stuff.
Basically the Kree are Warriors there are Blue and PINK (like us) too. Marvel's Captain Mar-Vel was a Kree warrior, long story short Mar-Vel didn't agree with taking over Earth and became it's protector.

Ronan the Accuser will be in Guardians of the Galaxy and IS in the trailer for it. I just wasn't expecting Kree on Shield lol

yea... I admit that's pretty weak.

All I'm saying is we know an object of unknown origin is (as implied by Coulson) alien (9 realms is alien to us, he even called Asgardians alien) and Skye is an object of unknown origin. The blue guy in the tank is more Kree than Frost Giant. Someone on this forum even noticed markings on his chest like the markings on Ronan the Accusers armour, Kree symbols. Inhuman powers are dormant until activated by a mist (maybe the show uses the serum as a device) and she wakes up with some basic powers to help the team.

To me that's a far better theory than the Frost Giant/Spiderwoman/Ms.Marvel stuff floating around. It's all assumption for sure. But, the Kree stuff links the show to Guardians of the Galaxy much like the secretive anti-shield stuff links the show to Winter Soldier.

It'll probably be a Frost Giant and I'll just face palm myself

No doubt about it. It's Kree.

Here.. look at the eyes guys

my same thoughts initially

same, but if you looks at shots from Thor the frost giants have ridges on their head, and chest. Likewise, someone noticed Kree style markings that match markings on Ronan the Accussers armor from the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer. The only connection to frost giant is the color blue.

Yea its pretty wicked they're (hopefully) linking this stuff up. It would make sense that Skye is an inhuman or something along those lines.

hmm that's odd. I could have sworn that marvel wiki had 4 fingers for the Kree last night. but now it says 5.

Just saw the episode. Thought it was great.

It did look like a Kree. Wouldn't surprise me if that is the case.
