No doubt. Coulson literally could become our Captain Marvel.

But in a different sense. Marvel, to the real world, he's he super fan in the movies, of the marvel characters, sort of our window in. Captain Marvel, is so appropriate...the "people's champion" if you will

Don't those markings also tie into that equation that was on the blackboard in the one episode (sorry, I know that's super vague)

seriable-00650.jpg

They look connected to me, idk
could be a kree equation (Terrigen Mist?) that SHIELD is trying to decipher

My thoughts on after this episode;

1. 101% Kree.
2. Paxton was great. More of the same and similar please!!
3. The Marvel One Shot with Coulson at the truck stop already proved he had advanced abilities, non?
4. Mar-Vell’s Agent of Shield ….jus sayin.

Despite the flaws, mostly down to the tv budget, the show has found its place. Teasing Marvel Universe stuff in interesting ways. I’m like you, love the speculation and when one of the popular theories started showing itself last night, I was excited. Looking forward to watching this show grow with the marvel movies over the next few years.

3. Advanced...fighting ability, nothing he did was super human
4. Mar-vell is 100% kree..not part kree...not kree infused...Kree

While all this speculation about the Big Blue (Kree) Guy is fun and all, seems that people are overlooking an obvious question here:

....where the hell is his lower half?

Unless the vfx budget literally dried up halfway through the episode, it's a definite plot point that Kree Boy has been ripped in half. By who? When? Where? Why?

How else was SHIELD supposed to find the creme filling? :woot:

I hear Jotunbeasts leave nasty marks. Or maybe he was just in a really bad car spaceship crash.

The question for me is: who is running the Guest House (if not SHIELD) and are they affiliated with whoever was running the blackboard-room in Belarus? Apparently, neither group is SHIELD, nor are they working for the Clairvoyant.

HYDRA; bank on it.
I think what we're seeing on AOS: "Uprising" is the emergence of a third party in the HYDRA vs. SHIELD war. HYDRA vs. SHIELD will play out on the big screen in CATWS and AOU (and maybe beyond); but I think AOS has been given the greenlight to create a third faction that's operating in the middle of this war.

The Clairvoyant's faction is known to contain Centipede (and by extension Extremis and AIM), Cybertek, and Quinn Worldwide. I think AIM is the centerpiece of this faction. If The Clairvoyant is its leader, a likely comic-book counterpart for such a character is MODOK.

Bottom line is that I think a classic comic-book AIM has been greenlighted as the main villain group for the TV show, while HYDRA are the main baddies in the movies.

BTW... I don't recall if we ever heard where the Guest House was actually located (if it even matters). Fitz just determined the "encrypted file" was actually a terrain map (seems like a poor way to hide a location, lol), and then they were there.

BTW, am I the only one who, when Fitz pulled up the 3-D holographic file-browser, thought "It's a UNIX system! I know this!"

I agree the AIM vs HYDRA angle sounds like a likely approach.

the equation may be kree, while the letters are skrull

Clark Gregg reveals all on twitter! :D

“@HeathHanna82: @clarkgregg who was the G.H. Blue half-guy?” Unkle Smurf whose real name was reportedly Gus Henrikson.

I'm assuming his bottom half was destroyed due to crash landing or shot down.

Clark Gregg reveals all on twitter! :D

Crash landed on earth, died in the accident and left his daughter, Smurfette in the hands of SHIELD agents. They marked her as an 0-8-4.... It's all coming together.

So based on what we all saw last night, and the assumption that 'Big Blue' is in fact and alien and not a frost giant, it is possible things could start laying out as such:

SHIELD/Shadow group has known about Aliens for a long time>>>Started doing tests on the down low>>>This comes to light in AOS and is furthered in CA:TWS>>>Continues to develop a tie between the Marvel Movies and the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie

Likewise

'Big Blue' (and team?) dispatched to earth at some point, possibly to look for the Cube>>Something went wrong>>>Cube never located by other parts of the known galaxy/universe >>(Thanos/Collector/Kree?) now has it's sights set on earth>>Further develops link between Guardians of the Galaxy/Marvel universe

I know it has been said that CA:TWS 'Directly sets up Avengers 2', but I have a feeling that some of the things that AOS is doing (and likewise, sub plots in CA:TWS) is going to help further set up Guardians of the Galaxy/Phase 3 and the greater Marvel Cosmic universe!

The Clairvoyant is prob MODOK.

Agreed.
If The Clairvoyant is based on a comic character (and why wouldn't he be? An original character could be named outright, instead of all the subterfuge of a secret identity), MODOK has moved to the top of the list.

If we're right about our speculation, I'd say AOS is starting to thread pretty nicely through all the phase II movies. IM3 (Extremis, AIM); TDW (Lorelei, Sif, the other Asgardian); CATWS (SHIELD, extensively; and the HYDRA takeover); GOTG (Kree); and probably Ultron, in ways that have yet to be revealed.

Great, a balding middle aged Mar Vell.

That be freaking awful.
Why can't Coulson just be Coulson.

The Clairvoyant is prob MODOK.

To be honest they've impressed me with what they've done with their CG lately but how do you think they'd interpret MODOK on the small screen? It be something lame like a sentient computer.

I don't think he'd be a computer, hopefully he'd be a mishmash of biology and tech.

Also, I hope if MODOK is used, they come up with a better use of the acronym.

This might be left field... But the first thing I thought when I saw the alien was its a Eternal! Might not be a popular view but Marvel are ambitious, and considering the regenerative qualities of the serums and the fact that the Eternals are near Immortal are think there is a case.

And I think Skye is an Eternal as well or atleast half Eternal, Half Human. we clearly see Coulson distressed and weary by this entire revelation about the Alien, but also by the fact that for some reason Skye's reaction to the serum wasn't the same to his own.

Maybe someone can help me out, but I remember there's one story of some kid that was born human although he was half Eternal, and only once he was killed and brought back to life by a Celestial he became a Eternal.

If we take that into consideration (well if I'm right about the Eternal thing anyway it's been a few years since I read an eternal comic,) then I'd bet that's why Skye's abilities haven't manifested as yet.

And maybe Skye is actually Abigail Brand... Since Brand is Half Human and Alien herself. And her adventures with SHIELD, will lead to her founding SWORD possibly with Coulson or Coulson establishes SWORD to protect Earth and Skye works her way up to become the director of SWORD.

Christopher Markus, Cap 2 co-writer had expressed a lot of interest in adapting MODOK to the big screen after Cap 1.
Christopher Markus said:
"I love MODOK and I think you could make a terrifying movie with MODOK but nobody seems to be on my side at the moment. I will win you over to Peter Dinklage as MODOK. If he came around the corner and you saw him floating there you would be terrified. It would be amazing. (They) really pulled off the Red Skull. It doesn't look like a mask. It looks like it's fully integrated into his flesh. And I want to see what they can do with MODOK."

Link

If they used him on the show I definitely would want a terrifying blend of biology and tech, but I'd also want him linked to AIM so we would then need an explanation as to who picked up the pieces of AIM after its downfall and how they came to create such a monstrosity.

Haha, that's exactly what I thought about the Coulson/Vision theories that people were so adamant about XD

I was so relieved when the Paul Bethany announcement was made but then they just gave more credence to the other prevailing theory. :whatever:

I was happy neither Vin Diesel or Coulson were Vision.

I'm going with Kree, maybe even Geheneris Hala´son Mahr Vehl specifically but I'm not counting on that one.

RHjdVQ8.png

Mahr Vehl's body has been implanted with a green and white cybernetic battle suit

The battlesuit flares with bio-electric energy and provides Mahr Vehl with increased strength, increased healing, speed, flight, invisibility, etc
I think Marvel Studios will save a character like Captain Marvel for either a GotG sequel or Avengers 3. There is too much potential there to waste on an earth based CSI/Spy drama show.

Healing and Regeneration are two vastly different things.
The whole lower torso is gone, organs missing. That thing, whatever it is, is dead. It's not healing or regenerating from that.
