I'll guess somehow Skye figures it out. He says something and she puts it together. Right now. I'm trying to put together what is only known to Skye and Coulson. I think most if not all of that info has now been spread to the rest of the team, but there may be something I'm missing.

Just thought of this. After the episodes main events are wrapped up and the day is saved, Coulson will wonder how Garrett knew to target his old girlfriend that he never told him about...... and then remember he did tell Ward. And then the rest of the pieces will fall into place.

Maybe, maybe not.
Could only be a hint who knows atm.
Concerning her powers i found it useful to imagine myself strapped into a wheelchair without the knowledge that I can walk. someone really would need to destroy the wheelchair, get me out of it or I need the info that i can do it before I would try walking.
