Yeah um, i'm not shooting THAT high. If the film is a good 75-80, i'll be happy. I am not expecting dark knight-greatness, nor should I.
I think she might be right and this movie won't be a 9/10. Some things doens't feel right, like the genetic manipulation, lois meeting Superman before clark...
Her opinion seemed pretty direct to me,She is nitpicking because Nolan is one of the producers. She said her Superman is the TAS one; she even said JJ abrams would make her perfect Superman movie, lol. I respect her opinion, but her arguments are weak.
Yes, how dare they not keep doing the same things in the exact same way over and over again!![]()
Sure it's possible but Superman is as stale as ever right now. It needs a shake up and as long as those changes are done well then they are good changes.Tim Burton's Superman would have been new and different. It's possible to have a problem with changes for reasons other than them simply being changes. Like I would have hated it if Krypton didn't blow up because I feel that's too important to change.
LOL, seriously?
Well, I guess they could also go the RIPD route. We see Clark walking around, but everyone else sees Marisa Miller.

To her,it doesnt look like they are making a movie about her Superman.
She isnt arguing against the film,
She is just expressing how it felt to her .

Superman on film is stale, his last film split audiences and I constantly hear how lame he is from non geeks.I disagree wholeheartedly that Superman is stale, and there's going to be some people who repeat that crap no matter what writers or directors do with the character. The New 52 was a pretty big change, is that stale? What exactly do they have to do the character to make him not stale? Wipe out EVERYTHING and just come up with a new character who goes by the name Superman?
I wouldn't necessarily say that Man of Steel is my idealized version of Superman, but it could be close to it.
And the new movie still took ideas from his script...I like JJ Abrams but his flyby superman sucked. Just because a director is good doesn't mean they will knock it out the park everytime.
Some Superman fans already grumble about the changes made in Man Of Steel they would of had a field day with JJ Abrams version I imagine.
Like Darren Aronofsky Batman:Year One I think it would of been a bit controversial.

I'm not going to deny the possibility that a few months down the line when the excitement has worn off, I was start to see flaws.
Then again, I still love TDKR just as much as I did the first time I saw it, and that's been slated loads since.
When something fits my tastes, I can deal with flaws that other people might get hung up on. I think the same will probably be true here.![]()
I'm not suprised you hear it too. I asked my 18 year old nephew about the film and he said it looks okay I guess but Superman has always been kinda lame.Same here![]()
I apologize for this post, it was rude and dismissive and I just got on Terry78's ass for being flat dismissive of my opinions. I wouldn't want to be a hypocrite.Yes, how dare they not keep doing the same things in the exact same way over and over again!
Without those changes the movie would 100% just be a remake of the first two films.

Warners does have to make the character look cool to the general audience again because we haven't had a proper update.
MOS looks to be doing that by giving us an awesome (imho) updated live action costume, a bad ass Superman who punches things, a modern look (Returns largely featured the semi 30's look of the original films) and a new theme and no connection to the original films by way of CGI Brando or Krystal Kryptin.
