In retrospect. I would probably be a horrible critic! My reviews would probably be like "Hell yeah went to another free movie last night folks!" "Not sure exactly what it was about, but I liked and it was free!" ;)

I do really like TDKR, but it's the weakest out of the three, in my opinion.

Picking the weakest of the Dark Knight Trilogy is like picking the driest ocean. None of 'em are dry enough to bother picking one. :o

Anyhow, I've been thinking since the Kryptonian babies are products of genetic engineering, do you think that could be Goyer's way of stealthily setting up Doomsday? Since he was the result of an ancient Kryptonian genetic experiment?

No worse than the spoonfed dialogue in BB/TDK.

Ouch. Here's where I think the rubber meets the road. I think the script is actually around the same quality as Batman Begins, and the plot itself is more interesting. And yes, I like Bane over Ra's. However the use of a nuclear bomb comes across as cliche'd, which might be excusable to the general audience following Begins, but not after TDK.
And the ending was a big gesture against actual comic fans. As for plot-holes, you got the feeling that there was more to it that wasn't able to be shown. If that is the case, than I don't hold it against the movie.

In fact the scores critically and audience-wise are higher or similar to BB. Both Metacritic and RT have higher scores for Begins than TDK, with audiences at Metacritic given Rises SLIGHTLY lower ratings than Begins and slightly HIGHER than Begins on Rottentomatoes.

So I think for the GA, it's TDK-TDKR-BB. No where near the disaster haters make it out to be.

But for me, it's TDK-BB-TDKR. But let's get back to Superman.

Well, I'm already seeing sexist and misogynistic comments on CBM...

Sad.

This dude is teasing some MOS stuff >>> @BlogXilla

They just lifted part of my #ManOfSteel embargo. I will live tweet from the press conference for @GlobalGrind cool stuff coming.

Damage control? Why would they just suddenly lift a part of one guys embargo? I bet his comments are going to be all glowing too. :oldrazz:

I would absolutely be a horrible critic. I very rarely leave a movie disliking it. When I walk in I don't go in with a critical eye, I get swept away and enjoy the journey. I walk out of so many movies thinking "This was the most amazing movie ever" and it takes a few days, or another viewing before I can really form an opinion.

When I saw Superman Returns I met Bryan Singer at the after party and told him "That may be my new favorite movie ever." I was being genuine, and he could tell, so he gave me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. I loved that movie every single time I saw it in the theater, it wasn't until it was on DVD that I was able to look at it more objectively. I still love it, but it didn't top Superman: The Movie for me.

Please don't eat me!
Jokes aside that thing looks amazing! Looks very alien-like.

I doubt it. WB aren't going to start panicking, they have so much faith in this film.

So who's gonna be at this press junket? for the ignoramuses among us...i.e. me

Haha, brilliant. And well done meeting Singer. :awesome:

This comment is funny considering the atrocious sonar/ferry boats sequence in TDK. That movie has been put on way too much of a pedestal.
