**** that is a stupid idea. Hal has undeniably the most potential for a GL movie reboot. To not use him would be a disgrace to the mythology.

Suggesting John Stewart to lead a movie reboot shows a complete lack of understanding of the mythology, and it makes you look ignorant and uninformed.

It's 100% clear that Hal is the main character of that universe.

The John Stewart solo suggestion comes from ignorance. Get informed and you will realize that Hal is the only choice to lead the movie.

I have to say that its surprising that we will have 2 movies lead by a minority character and a female solo movie. I think there will be more female leads if the response to WW is positive (which i don't doubt it will be huge, its the one major comic character that still hadn't his own movie). Any way you have to give WB props, they showed guts today

The more interesting thing about what you stated is if Marvel switches up their slate of films around in order to beat WB on this very issue, because as of right now, they're slated with titles until the end of 2017 with no female lead or minor lead film on the slate.

Do they push back THOR 3 and STRANGE to undercut WB's plans? Or do they just add a third film into their slate for 2016 and 2017?

But guess what? We're getting Cyborg who hasn't formed one relationship with any of the JL members in Johns's New 52 JL run.

I'm pumped just to see the chemistry between Affleck/Cavill/Gadot/Momoa/Miller when the day finally comes. I already think the Affleck/Cavill dynamic is going to be great, throwing in other potentially charismatic additions will keep the hype building.

It just seems so clear to me that it's frustrating that we aren't all on the same page.

If everyone watched GL TAS and First Flight, and read Geoff Johns' run, I feel they would agree that Hal has by far the best stories. IN the best GL stories, he's the center of that universe, he's the main character.

Sinestro and Hal are the Joker and Batman of the GL universe.

I still think that people just don't understand what's important in that universe if they are honestly suggesting John Stewart as the lead.


But yes I'm done. I still feel exactly the same way, and i don't take back any of the things I said, but I will surely tone things down, i'm done.

EDIT: I'm done, but I think it's sad that I'm one of the very few people that shows any sort of passion for Green Lantern.

I am willing to bet that some of those un named dates got changed to other films...Thor 3 and Strange are coming...they are heavy into casting Strange to back away from it now

Cavill was attached to "The Great Wall" and "Ben Hur", but had to back out of both due to BvS/JL.

They don't have any unnamed dates through 2017. The 2nd 2017 is technically unnamed but many feel it's THOR 3.

If so, we've got their slate through 2017. Wonder Woman beats them to the punch.
