I don't get the hate for certain heroes because they're not interesting enough or they suck. I can completely understand if somebody would have preferred another hero (I'd probably choose MM over Cyborg if given a choice) but the potential stories they could get if they get good writers in could be awesome. If it features StarLabs and maybe Flash in a cameo or something I'm sure they can make a more than passable movie out of Cyborg.

Considering his beginnings as a prodigious athlete the tone and trajectory could be very cool. Not too long ago people were spazzing out about DC not releasing their schedule, now they drop a ****ton of projects and people still want to sharpen their pitchforks and light their torches up.

a perfect example of this is Blade...a character no one gave to stakes about until a certain movie came along

Is anyone really interested in a standalone Cyborg movie...?

He works well with the Titans and the Justice League but he's not nearly an interesting enough character let alone concept to make a whole movie dedicated to him.

I think it could be quite good. The whole father/son thing, his previous life. I'm not well-versed on his villain options though, they'll need to get a solid antagonist, otherwise I could see it fizzling out. I think there's potential though if they execute it properly.

Yeah, decent example. Hopefully the overall quality is better, but there's enough for them to work with.

See I'd rather see Atrocitus and Black Hand before Sinestro
Yeah i guess that works too. Either way, Blackest Night is what you built your franchise around..

and Krypton INC, please stop replying to me. You're not an authority figure, you're just annoying, let the mods tell me what to do. I did what I said I'd do. I toned it down and stopped insulting John Stewart supporters.

Krypton INC, i distinctly remember cringing at one of your more embarrassing posts recently. I distinctly remember deciding NOT to comment and belittle you. You're acting like you're superior, you've had your share of completely embarrassing posts that I didn't comment on.

Can someone back me up on this? I'd look up the comment, but Krypton INC posts so much it'd be a huge waste of time trying to dig up what I'm thinking of.

I really think it's about time WB establishes a separate DC Studios like Disney and Marvel did. With 10 films coming out in 4 yrs, and potential for TT through Cyborg, I feel they are really pushing it and spreading themselves too thin. Not to mention WB as a whole also have other movies to worry about aside from the DCCU

Go the ARROW route and give him appropriate villains pulled from some other hero's rogues. It works for Daredevil. These days people associate Kingpin with him more than Spidey.

What if that Cyborg film is actually a TT film? It's so far in the future, they could easily switch that up, no problem.

WB is going to pick trucks full of money for a long time, i doubt they are feeling any worries

The King Arthur project has now gone to Jason Momoa. :oldrazz:

WB knows more about what WB can and can't do than either of us.

Riiiiight... I'm the one telling people they are ignorant and not true fans, plus I am the only one telling you to chill cuz you are starting to sound too intense... Got it.

they can always turn cyborg's movie into a teen titans film or a team up with nightwing vs deathstroke.

Such reactions have left me feeling like Kermit here.

That could work yeah, definitely. JL:War featured fairly deplorable characterizations of almost everyone bar Batman and Cyborg, I think if they gave him the kind of character he had there people would be into it. Him, Hal Jordan/John Stewart and a Flash are probably the most relatable secret identities for the GA. We've had billionaires (Stark/Wayne) for a longass time now, and had a fair share of alien demigods (Supes/Thor/WW will be along the same line) and I think it's time DC got a character that can serve as the voice for the audience somewhat like Cap does for Marvel.

Having super-powered beasts and flawless billionaire geniuses is all well and good, but I personally like characters that feel as though they'd share a perspective with me - I'm sure some others feel the same way. Cyborg is a good opportunity to depict a hero that isn't quite as invincible as the others.

People will always complain. Even if precisely what they asked for happens. I guarantee if Aaron Paul was cast you'd get some of his acolytes coming out and saying "Well, it's cool but something feels a bit off". Now it's actually a capable young actor that could do really well for the franchise and people are throwing their toys out of their cot. Personally I think Miller could be fantastic as Flash. He's significantly younger than the other cast members, it'd be quite cool for me if he has a kind of "kid prodigy" vibe, but he needs some guidance and leadership from the seasoned pros.

I find it hilarious that only last night I was slightly complaining about the lack of Superman related news.......and ta da look what happens today lol.......still not really "Superman" on his own, but still damn good enough :D

Edit: Double post.

I had figured beforehand that if cyborg was ever going to appear as a main character in a non jla film, then it would be in flash's since Victor lives in Central City and you could even say that his dad works at the Star Labs facility there.

I think Slade Wilson could be a good villain for cyborg.

Well to be fair there arent any batman news either, unless you count the rumors of another solo batman and superman movies, not officially announced for now

And its good to see other heroes shine too, defiantly pumped up for aquaman , ww and the rock as black adam. And after seeing a couple of episodes of flash that could be great too, overall solid news all around

I would like to once again voice my full support of the Miller casting.

One of the best young talents around.

Really? i dont see it, he is a good match for guys like arrow or batman, but cyborg should go against some one more tech based, or a heavy hitter. But who knows maybe theres a way, anyway to get deathstroke is good to me
