I had figured beforehand that if cyborg was ever going to appear as a main character in a non jla film, then it would be in flash's since Victor lives in Central City and you could even say that his dad works at the Star Labs facility there.

I think Slade Wilson could be a good villain for cyborg.

That could be really cool. A while back I thought they might do something like mash up two heroes to get them out there quicker. Like Aquaman/WW together and explore the Atlantean/Themyscira thing together and have a "buddy" atmosphere combining Flash/G Lantern. If they had Cyborg and Flash together it'd be cool. Sort of recreating the dynamic between Cap and Falcon in TWS. I thought that was one of the best hero partnership renditions I've seen, if a similar thing could be replicated for some of the JL members it would be awesome to watch.

Have any other JL members ever "borrowed'' Brainiac in a solo outing in cartoons/comics? I think he might suit Cyborg because they both have the high-tech thing going on. I'd even say Metallo could be a cool villain for Cyborg to go toe to toe with.

At this point, the only major casting that needs to be announced is who will play Green Lantern and Shazam respectively.

And bright side is that superman and batman will be in at least 3 films together between now and 2020.

I'm excited to hear the news. It would of been cool to see who green lantern will be and I think Martian manhunter could be a better stand alone film than cyborg. Hopefully one day...

I really think it's about time WB establishes a separate DC Studios like Disney and Marvel did. With 10 films coming out in 4 yrs, and potential for TT through Cyborg, I feel they are really pushing it and spreading themselves too thin. Not to mention WB as a whole also have other movies to worry about aside from the DCCU

Sorry but I think its funny when people act like WB is one person. Tons of people work for/at/with WB and they have multiple different divisions. A DC studio really wouldnt make much difference as there are plenty of people at WB right now who basically will only be working on DC movies for the next couple years.

Can't say I'm too surprised about WB yet again splitting an important movie with a huge fan base in two and releasing them separately to get twice the ticket sales.

Ezra as Flash is good news though because it means that Aaron Paul won't play him.

Sort of makes the Justice League the Brunnete League though.

You think he could pull off blonde/light brown/brown hair? I agree the brunette thing is a little overbearing now. Aquaman is unlikely to be blonde now, and it seems like Flash may not be blonde either. Between Miller and Momoa I'd say Miller is more likely to pull off lighter hair.

so the trinity WW Batman Superman will all have Solo movie before JL. Well batman kind of but at least that in par with The avenger which had solo movie for Hulk, IM, CA, and Thor

I have to admit I am a little pissed off that WB didn't make a bigger deal about this news.

Why not make a big event out of it? Sell tickets to thousands of fans. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to find people willing to shell out a hundred bucks to watch titles flash up on a projector screen as a studio executive reads them off one by one. THRILLS ABOUND.

Well to be fair there arent any batman news either, unless you count the rumors of another solo batman and superman movies, not officially announced for now

And its good to see other heroes shine too, defiantly pumped up for aquaman , ww and the rock as black adam. And after seeing a couple of episodes of flash that could be great too, overall solid news all around

the solo Batman and Superman movies aren't rumored...read the press release

It's not a rumor. This is exactly what the official press release said:
"at least 10 movies—as well as stand-alone Batman and Superman films—from 2016 through 2020 that expands this prized universe of characters"

They should have made this announcement at NYCC.

Oh ok sorry my bad, still why dont they give dates to those 2? they have like 9 other dates locked in

To be honest, I don't believe all of that was needed for this, but a bit of a thriller would have been nice. I just saw AMC movie talk and one of the guys made a good point about WB making this a bigger deal at CC next year. Perhaps they've got more up their sleeves and they don't disappoint when it comes to "wowing" at CC.

They should have made this announcement at NYCC.
The end result would have been the same: we end up with a press release. Save for mock title cards, what more would people have expected, exactly ?

I genuinely do not understand the issue people have here. We got the news one way or another.

They should have made this announcement at NYCC.

No it was perfectly timed....if they announced at NYCC there is a potential to be drowned out by anything anyone else is doing.
You announce the slate on a day like today...no one suspecting...it's THE BIG NEWS

They'll have directors and writers attached by next years Comic Con. That's what I'm most excited about. To find out what directors/writers they're getting for these recently announced films.

Same here.

Apart from the solo Cyborg movie ( though who knows, I may end up liking the concept), I'm thrilled about this line up.
