I'm not sure it would be a waste. Getting a high profile Will Smith movie(that won't bomb) would be standard procedure for WB, even if it was a one and done. I'd say the same thing if it was Tom Cruise they were talking about. As big as these stars are, putting a big brand behind them is the difference between Equalizer/Edge of Tomorrow/Oblivion and Thor(at the very least) imo.

Snagging Will smith for one of the cbms would surely ensure some form of box office success especially if they have the foresight to pull a mcu and sell it as 'connected' to Affleck. A non pg 13 Ayer film would be interesting in a few ways, one of which being it would be his biggest hit as a director.

The one thing I don't understand is why everyone is so fixated on these characters being in the Squad. Given the premise, seems all they need is interesting rogues and Waller. Why limit yourself exactly?

I don't dislike Will, I just don't see him being all that intimidating standing opposite Momoa. I'd rather see him as Bronze Tiger or Black Spider.

Deathstroke needs a guy in his late 60's. Ron Perlman or Stephen Lang. A tough old man.

Even the Arrow version was way way too young.

They made him look a lot older in Season 2 and it worked in my opinion. Manu Bennet is 45 years old and looks damn good for it I say!
