Imagine a comic-con panel with the entire universe down the road...

And it includes names like Will Smith, Dwayne Johnson, Ben Affleck, Ryan Gosling (hey, maybe Squad could be his first CBM), Tom Hardy. Talk about going up against Marvel.

Should be interesting, like studio chief Kevin Tsujihara told investors “Disney’s success with Marvel shows us what’s possible.” So now its up to them to try and spin off less popular heroes into successful franchises and see whether they can succeed with other big brand superheroes in solo films.

So I'm guessing with Justice League Dark being missing from that line up that Del Toro once again has talked up a movie that aint going to happen.

Doesn't really make sense to have JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK come out before JUSTICE LEAGUE succeeds, does it?

There are several WB/DC movies in development not on that list. Doesn't mean they might not happen.

Here's what i think..

They said Gosling was eyed for lead role with the others supporting him. I can see Ryan as Deadshot if Hardys not playing that character. God, i would freak if Tom and Ryan were in the same movie AND it was a DC comic book movie.

Unfortunately i dont think Ryans gonna take it.

I'll be very disappointed if they cast her in the movie and there is no Harley.

She was my second choice for Harley. Jane Levy was my first, but only as a psychiatrist who turns nuts, in a Batman movie right next to Joker. For this situation i think Margot would destroy.

So Elmayimbe dropped the Suicide Squad scoop along with Brainiac. So it looks like he's right with this. Do you guys think his script that he read is old or new? Because that lineup seemed a little underwhelming if you look at the fact that Harley isn't in it. But the only female on that list was Vixen, so i guess it's a good chance it's a b.s script.

Eh Maybe's scoop was basically taking Bleeding Cool's story from this year and passing it off as his own. And that script was from 2011-2012, maybe even further than that.

TASM fans used to say the same. When others don't like what they like, they're willing to believe anything except the most simple and likely scenario. Some just don't like what they see is all.

That's very true. Its like the teacher commented at school when talking about the topic; some dont see a conspiracy when the majority overwhelmingly agrees with their point of view but soon as the balance shifts, some become absolutely convinced there is one (conspiracy.)

So do you all think Deathstroke is in this alongside Deadshot, Harley and even Black Manta? If Will Smith is Black Manta, he could then go into the 2018 Aquaman movie. Robbie could make a little appearance in the Batfleck solo. Deathstroke could return for a potential Nightwing spin-off. And imagine Hardy or Gosling making a cameo in Batman. Hardy as two Bat-villains would be a record no?

I wouldnt want Will Smith as Black Manta. As for Quinn, I hope they pick somebody who has a quirky side to them.

I will be more disappointed if they aren't Deathstroke & Manta then Aaron not being Flash. I love villains and there is too much potential for Hardy as Deathstroke and Will as Manta.

I can totally see Hardy as Deathstroke and Gosling or some other big name as Deadshot, the lead.

They'll use Hardy as an intense fighter, a real physical role no doubt.

When it comes to Aquaman, I think a large part of the casting depends on the script, and what type of tone they are going for?

My biggest fear is Hardy is Captain Boomerang or Deadshot. Hardy is a fighter and those guys aren't. That's why having Hardy as Deathstroke is perfect IMO.

Also I don't see how Will can be Black Spider. Who the **** wants to be Black Spider? Have him as Manta so he can return to fight Aquaman and set up for that.

I'm not so sure all the movies (except those you mentioned) would be the same in tone, I think WB has looked closely at the competition (even referencing it at their investor meeting) so they would likely offer a mixed range of tones. Also as all these movies are so far away, like entertainment websites have pointed out, so much can change in the meantime and some of them may never be made at all, and even the ones that are will be dependent on the success of those which come before them.

I think Hardy could be any 3 of those guys mentioned, but I agree about Will, in my mind it's Black Manta or bust. Maybe it's because I love Black Manta though and just really want to see him.....

Also Will as Manta would really help sell the Aquaman movie

I'm sure there's going to be a few more members on the team, but the names they're going after and said names' potential roles will probably propel them to appearing in other movies. Or at least, Deadshot, Deathstroke, and Harley appearing in a solo Batman movie and Black Manta being in Aquaman.

I remember Jessica Chastain saying she wants to be in a comic book movie as a superhero.
