Wouldn't be awesome if Tom Hardy played Bane again ? I know this is Suicide Squad and not Secret Six but still, wouldn't be amazing ?

You know the sequel to Task Force X could very well be Secret Six, seeing as Deadshot is going to be the leader.

Secret Six could be the sequel where they escape Waller's control and fight back against her.

Ben Foster as Ragdoll!

The interesting thing about a Suicide Squad film is how do you approach an antagonist?

Will it be a Superhero? Or a villain organisation like Kobra? What's the mission?

This is important to ask. If you present the team as truly made up of BAD people then the force they are out to oppose must be even WORSE.

You know who I'd love to come back as the same character but part of the DCU this time? Mark Strong as Sinestro, one of the only good parts about that movie. Bring him back as Sinestro again for the next GL and I'd be ecstatic. :woot:

Probably not a Superhero. They are being forced to work for Waller so she would send them to stop other villains for the most part. I hope Slade is an antagonist though. Then, if the film is a success and gets a sequel , they can put a recently captured Slade in the next one. He would be like the green ranger. Everyone knows the guy who switches from the bad guy to the good guys is the coolest. Only he would be doing it under duress... and they are all bad guys anyway...Still, it would be cool to see him as an antagonist first.

I was actually thinking that the other day. He's the exception to my opinion that all characters that are being rebooted should be recast.

I think it has to be an earth based threat. Perhaps one of the below.

Kobra
H.I.V.E.
SKULL
Brotherhood of Evil ( Monsieur Mallah would be awesome!)

Since we've gone TASK FORCE X, aka The Suicide Squad crazy here I'd like to share and idea I've had for a few years now for the comic book version (though in my mind it's for a DCU closer to the pre-New 52, so... yeah).

Basically I would see the Squad in classic form, with Waller at the top and Flagg jr. as the field commander, only to see it slowly ripped apart because of the inclusion of something from left field that isn't the usual espionage element the book usually has. In a nutshell, after a battle with the JLA, Vandal Savage is brought into Belle Reve. Some small peice of wisdom or info he drops into Waller's lap turns out to be incredibly helpful, and Waller decides to put Savage on the Task Force... sort of. She promises him better living quarters and privileges ect. if he helps the Squad. She can't threaten the immortal Savage with death after all (and scientists are studying him to find out exactly how that works) but she can make his time in incarceration pleasant or a nightmare. Savage agrees, and for a bit is sort of like a Hannibal Lecter character for the team. A man of incredible knowledge and 10,000 years of experience whose advice and insights can mean all the difference. But of course Savage really wants out, but as an immortal he also is very patient. Slowly he starts manipulating things from inside his cell, and he even manages to fix things so as to eliminate certain Squad members so as to get others on, who are actually being paid or are loyal to him so that eventually when the time is right, they can free him. the line up would be something like this, with lots of deaths to open up spots along the way to the conclusion.

TASK FORCE X, aka THE SUICIDE SQUAD

X-9 Vandal Savage

I don't think it serves a purpose to make Robin a female period, other than to add another female hero. I hated the Carrie Kelly character and pretty much everything else about Dark Knight Returns so I'm really getting more disinterested in this version of Batman as more news comes out about this film. Granted this is just a rumor right now and I hope it stays that way but the more we hear the more links to Dark Knight Returns pop up and that's really disappointing for me personally. I know most people love DKR but I really didn't care for it at all to be honest.

There are plenty of Batman sidekicks to choose from, multiple Robins and Batgirl/woman, Carrie Kelly is arguably the worst of them all, I really don't have any interest in seeing that character. I'd rather see them add one of the other Bat Family females.

I have seen some people say well its just a rumor and the actress has denied she is in the movie. But then other people point to Momoa as an example. So it could happen. Either way, I think BvS promises a lot of shocks and surprises when it comes to the cast/story. But either way I wouldnt be surprised if many of the details leak long before the movie is released.

it's thought (by many) that is jena malone is indeed in the movie, it makes more sense to think she could play barbara gordon.

Well, B. Gordon would be a good choice but as many are saying the Miller comics are going to be heavily themed, it might be a female Robin too.

It'd be cool if we had Oracle, Nightwing and Carrie Kelly. Jason Todd can be dead already. Carrie could take Tim's place. Even though Tim is one of my favorites, that wouldn't bother me too much.

He's a perfect member for the team.
Does he betray them?

I dont recall hearing anything about Oracle but the spoilers say Nightwing makes a cameo in the movie.

That was the basic idea. He get's caught by the JLA and get's sent to Belle Reve and then is like a Hannibal Lecter character for the team kind of. He's consulted on various topics, I mean, he's lived thousands of years right? This would be a bit of a change of pace from the Squad's usual, morally gray, black ops type stuff. Here is an internal threat that is also very much an old school Super Villain mastermind.

I really enjoyed Assault on Arkham, and think if the live action movie being developed is anything like that, DC are onto something really fun and quirky. Fingers crossed Batfleck cameos here and there too.

I totally agree with AnneFunniez. Also, having Vandal Savage in the team, ready to triple-cross them and the world at every turn could be great.

So when do you guys think we'll get a teaser? February with Jupiter Ascending maybe?

I think an Organization would be the way to go.
