we could always talk about this

But...but....this Superman movie was just so much better than the "atrocious" and "horrible" MOS wasn't it? :o

Another that has the exact same trolling style as you?

Hmmmm....:mag

My supposed trolling is only a matter of perspective from your point of view.

On top of that, the CGI was poorly executed. There were times where you can clearly tell that it's a CGI double based on the differing, bordering on unrealistic actions between the model and the actor (ultrafluid versus human movements) and the inconsistent shades of colour.

That's why practical effects are so much better. They should have used the actor in a harness and greenscreen.

Hmm... Maybe Cav-el actually has that Great Wall of China repairing vision? Metropolis should be cleaned up in no time. :oldrazz: :word:

Let me get this straight.

People apparently have no issue imagining a crystal growing a continent laced with Kryptonite...

But are unable to suspend their disbelief that Superman, a fallible character, in his anger at Luthor's perversion of his heritage, his haste to end the threat, never having encountered such a thing before, might overlook that the island is partially composed of Kryptonite and assume it's just his Kryptonian technology at work?

or we could go with this award winner

It really depends on what you want to accomplish. CGI works as long as you have an attention for detail, which SR clearly lacked.

One of the problems with writing Superman is that people expect perfection from him and that he has so many powers that when he doesn't use them it makes him look stupid.

People not liking that Superman "might overlook" the one thing that WILL kill him is a "bad thing"? That he doesn't find it strange that the only person to EVER use Kryptonite against him is just standing around, seemingly unafraid of a super-powered alien staring him down?

The mind wobbles....

He did just that in Superman II and didn't use kryptonite.

Those CGI shots from SR are no match for the ones of the Scorpion King from The Mummy Returns.
