How do you guys feel about Brainiac being the villain?

Are Metallo and Lex enough of a threat for Batman, Superman, AND Wonder Woman?

A Brainiac film leading into a Darkseid film sounds pretty awesome

I wasn't suggesting that. I was suggesting Lex and Brainiac as the villains. No Metallo.

Most people wanted Lex and Brainiac to be the villains of MOS, and when we thought the MOS sequel wouldn't have Batman and Wonder Woman, we still wanted Lex and Brainiac as the villains. I think it's still a pretty good option for villains even with Batman and Wonder Woman

Brainiac is just repetitive at this point, another alien threat against Earth that requires superheroes to deal with.

That kind of thing might work for the Justice League, but I think we need a fresh villain alongside Luthor.

An Idea I had was that Lex made more than one Metallo...maybe he made a squad of soldiers or a battalion. So it gives us a group of baddies that Superman, Batman and WW could fight.

But I feel like people are settling on Metallo for the sake of not having another world dominating villain.. Does anyone really prefer Metallo over Brainiac?

Metallo works well with Lex Luthor though. A Metallo/Lex pairing means that Lex will be the main villain and will get the most attention characterization-wise. A Brainiac/Lex pairing would take away a lot of the spotlight from Lex, which is obviously unappealing to a lot of people.

Lex went to college with Peter Parker, and created Facebook together...

While Bruce Wayne was enlisted in the military with General Zod, and defended Pearl Harbor alongside each other...

And all of this before Bruce Wayne had an affair with Martha Kent after she had become a Widow and when Clark was traveling the world....

Not to mention, Perry White had once served under the command of General Swanick in order to defend "Zion"....

And Lois had once been engaged to Richard White back when they were living in New York City (uh, sense of De Ja Vu here)

Last, but not least, before he had gone all wood and hard on her, Groot had been involved with Wonder Woman, who was a nature fanatic back then...

Hey look, we now have a DC Universe back-story all set up while leaving the possibility of a crossover with Marvel Comics all that much more easier.

Normally, no...but under the circumstances, I think the film could use a break from the whole "Alien Villain/Invasion" considering on how the last/previous film capitalized on that.

Plus, with everything that's going on and with those that are involved in this film already, I feel like Brainiac would not get the treatment that he deserves due to how crowded it is in terms of major characters.

Right now, I think the franchise needs to establish and strengthen its foundation (character dynamics, characterizations, plot, etc) and not add another "large scale" villain and chaos of epic proportions going on.

Almost, but you forgot the part where Bruce Wayne was employed by Pa Kent to help with construction projects, and the part where Parker and the Lone Ranger filed lawsuits against Luthor, and how Bruce Banner tried to arrest Lex for several robberies, including stealing millions from alternate universe Alfred.
