I hope they don't call it "World's Finest". It sounds very cheesy and dated. As others have said, it was a name of a comic book series not the team-up itself. Superman and Batman didn't even appear in the same stories for over a decade into the series (other than on the covers).

I would be ok with just calling it Superman/Batman and just using the two symbols. Those symbols are iconic worldwide and resonate in every language.

As far as I'm concerned the "lack of marketability" argument against World's Finest is bs. The logo of this movie will market itself. Everyone, and their grandmother, knows this movies is coming. It's arguably the most discussed/hyped movie ever and it's still 2 years out.

People will see the Superman symbol combined with the Bat symbol and instantly know about the movie. Hell, they could keep it technically untitled and just have the BvS name as an unofficial shorthand for the film and it would still make bank - just show the logo on all the posters, no title necessary.

If you want people to know what World's Finest stands for you just name the film that. Put it under the logo on all promotional material and instantly everyone will know what it means. It will become one of those classic film titles that no one knew about prior to the movie and WB will have that name locked down forever.

BvS sounds childish and lazy to me, at least World's Finest has some gravitas to it.

Who's in Detroit other than Henry and Ben probably will arrive today? There's over a month to go before production start's.
Gal Gadot is headed there this weekend as well. Along with Michael Wilkinson, who is the photographer.

So what will they be doing because they have like 5 weeks before they start rolling?

Do you think there will be some sort of love triangle between Clark, Lois, and Bruce? I remember they did that on the 90's animated series. If I remember correctly, I think Lois even found out Bruce was Batman somehow.

Yeah his cape/cowl got caught in a paper roller thing during a fight and it got pulled off. She was pissed he lied to her.

Nope don't think there will be won't let's progress Clark/Lois relationship from the foundations that were set in MOS.

Wilkinson is the costume designer.

as for what they are doing I'd guess there's a lot of prep work involved before the cameras actually start rolling. The reading of scripts (possibly some small revisions) final costume fittings, rehearsals with fight choreographers and such, on set screen/lighting tests, blocking of shots etc. locking down of schedules and itineraries, make up and prosthetic/props tests and a million other things I don't know about.

The God, The Bat, and The Baldie

I dunno, not to beat the title debate to death, but I don't have a problem with BvS or SvB. I kinda like Man of Steel: World's Finest (or MoS: Trinity depending on Gadot's screen time). Any of them really work for me, it's the film I care about more than the "catch phrase" of the title.

...call it "WB/DC take my damn $$ please!!" for all I care. Because that's all my brain is thinking.

Can we actually have a title confirmation before anything else?:funny:

Ah that's right. I have no idea where I got photographer from. Thanks for the correction.

I still don't see how Wonder Woman can fit into all of this this. I doubt they'll bring up her Themyscira origins... maybe she's somehow Lex Luthor's lawyer or Wayne's lawyer (or special agent or what have you) as Diana Prince, but that would be pretty lame.

she could just be some sort of a disguised United Nations like employee in the movie.

I think the events of MoS gets her attention. She comes to the US to do her own recon on Superman and determine what kind of threat potential he is. I'm not sure how they will handle Themyscria in the cinematic universe. Will it simply be an island nation that mostly keeps to itself and she is a diplomat for it? Will it be a secret to the world and be hidden?
