After seeing Noah i'd love to see Aronofsky do a Lucifer film. Or Fables. Or even The Sandman.

Aronofsky also had one of his movies adapted into a comic by Vertigo.

just more click bait nonsense.

I'll judge the cinematic universe when we start seeing the actual movies.

The article is basically "everything Warner Brothers is doing is wrong and they should be like Marvel".

I just finished reading the article. Poor mans CBM.com article much?

something WB/DC should consider is adapting books (like snyder has with watchmen and 300) after the first JL (to introduce the other leaguers) as opposed to writing original stuff for the big screen. i think the media and certain fans would shut the **** up quick if we heard that they're adapting Tower of Babel, Final Crisis, Sinestro Corps War or Kingdom Come, in fact, I'd bet they'd turn around and start talking about how classic they'll be before they'd even see one of those damn movies.

So did Brucefleck runfleck to the carfleck today?

So many 'flecks!
Batfleck
Stuntfleck
Fakefleck
Fauxfleck

I guess A fleck goes a long way.

The :whatever: emoticon was reason enough to not read that wall of text in the link
What DC needs is good managing for their movies, Nolan's movies succeed with its tone, then so can the current series, if done right

I'd prefer WB focus on making great, memorable films that I'd actually like to own and watch repeatedly.

I couldn't tell you how many movies I've bought that have been collecting dust on the shelf for years. Hell, The Amazing Spider-Man is still in its wrapping. I need to get better at managing money.

I agree.

I've enjoyed a lot of superhero films over the years but the only ones I ever find myself rewatching are The Avengers, Captain America: TFA, X-Men 1,2, First Class, the first 3 Spidey movies, all the Batman movies, the first two Superman movies and MOS.

Really, a shared universe isn't worth a damn if the films are so generic and cookie-cutter that you can't be bothered to watch them more than once.

I'd take one great Justice League film over a myriad of serviceable solo films all day every day.

A recent article I read at IGN elucidated something important. DC doesn't need to look at anywhere else for inspiration on their shared universe more than themselves.

DC has produced so many great things in other forms of media. From animated shows/movies, broadcast television, video games, comic books - you name it. All they have to do is be confident enough with their properties in order hit it big with the DCCU.

Yea I read that, everything besides the JL War part was on point.

*looks at collection of MCU films that aren't IM1 or Avengers*

Agreed.

Sometimes, you gotta strive for more with your films than just being entertaining, and a small piece of a larger puzzle.

Regardless of a connected universe, a solo film should always strive for excellence, and strive to be good on its own, AS WELL AS part of a whole.
