I mean that every Marvel movie was about an irresponsible playboy jokester who learned responsibility in the face of necessity; the established personality of the character virtually ignored in order to meet that aim.
Green Lantern was totally about that formula. Fortunately, it failed, and illustrated why DC attempting to emulate Marvel's cinematic tone moving forward would be a mistake.
I'll admit Captain America as the exception to that rule.
So The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Winter Soldier, Thor, TDW and Avengers were all movies about irresponsible playboys learning responsibility huh
