I am just glad WW is going to be a demi goddess and the daughter of Zeus and not a Kryptonian offshoot dumb idea character

Do you happen to have any idea where that dumb Kryptonian origin came from? Was it the fake script?

I like the idea of a very rough Batman. Wonder Woman is the daughter of Zeus, so that's nice.

But damn, the Batman/Superman dynamic sounds like TDKReturns, and that's just awful for Superman.

I'll want and see...

I'm more of a Batman guy and I damn near worship TDKReturns so it's no problem for me. :o

It doesn't really have one. It's older than the announcement of Wonder Woman in the film... it was just a theory multiple people came up with. Personally I'd say it was a result of the "scientific" focus people see in the DC universe. And therefore making WW a kryptonian make things much simpler, even though it butchers the character.

There was one interview from a Jett person if I remember correctly that he personally speculated that might be the case, it wasn't information or any kind of a scoop, just an opinion. But some people fail to understand that.

Eh, that didn't really sound anything like the TDKR dynamic between the two, all that was actually said (without any conclusion jumping) is that Batman will be huge and tower over Superman, which honestly doesn't bother me too much, as seen in the SDCC footage, it doesn't take much for that aspect to become moot, and Batman towering over others isn't really a problem since Batman's entire shtick is intimidation anyways, not to mention literally nothing was said about Superman's characterization either thanks to the frankly awful interviewer.

I agree. I don't remember Superman looking up to Batman in TDKR. And yes, the interviewer was kinda bad.

It was a fan theory...you know fans try to come up with a 'realistic' because being a goddess or demi goddess didn't seem real in the Man of Steel universe

I know, I might be jumping to conclusions. It's just that I'd like to see them as equals, so I hope they don't mess with other characters (WW included) just for the sake of promoting Batman.

redundant post is redundant.

I don't think they will, most of the questions were Batman related and the interviewer just didn't ask any Superman questions (seriously, what the ****?) and didn't seem to even be aware of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman or the plethora of DC films that had been announced, the guy didn't get half the info out of Roven that he probably could've, Roven practically had to go out of his way to mention that WW was the daughter of Zeus.

I saw one tweet from...maybe Jett...that was basically a giant leap based on the design of her tiara saying "This is Kryptonian."
It was so bizarre how sure they were on Nothing.

pretty sure whoever got the idea, got it from the man of steel prequel comic goyer, johns and zack wrote.

synopsis.

Kara Zor-El and a group of other young pilots-in-training are in the Kryptonian jungle, retrieving beacons as part of their terraform training. They have to learn to deal with an Alien planet's harsh environment. But only four of the people in the group will be chosen to take on the expedition upon graduation. Dev-Em is a member of the group. When they split up, Dev-Em kills one of the other people, Kell-Ur, who is Kara's friend/love interest, in order to increase his chances of being chosen. Kara battles with Dev-Em and has him arrested for murder. Murder is rare on Krypton, and Dev is sentenced to death. Kara graduates and soon takes off in one of the scout ships. The whole fleet of ships take off to explore and help Krypton "expand". Each scout ship has a "Growth Codex" that will allow them to let the stored embryos grow into full-grown Kryptonians and help them terraform the land. Kara and her team go to sleep in their sleep pods for the many years of travel. Kara wakes up and sees that everyone has already left their pod. She sees that the others are dead, and sees Dev-Em on the ship, alive. He was freed by council members who opposed the death penalty. He stowed away on the ship and woke up the others to access food, and killed them soon after when they were of no use. He then alters the course to the "Sol System". The ship is headed to Earth. Kara and Dev-Em battle, now with much stronger powers, and cause the ship to crash in the snow on Earth. A figure is seen leaving the ship. We then see an Inuit tribe in Canada in their hut, with a drawing of the ship crashing and the S symbol on their wall.
In present day, a signal under the ice (ice shelves thousands of years old) is picked up by mission control and they wonder who it is trying to signal. It cuts to Clark Kent working on the Alaskan fishing boat.

couple that with the scoutship being around 20,000 years old, someone assumed that that's where they would have descended from.

It's actually older than that, but this put fuel to the fire.

On a side note, the guy also metioned Wonder Woman has powers. Most excellent again. Having a street level Diana would be utterly terrible.

Well, WW having powers was kind of a given.

The wonder kryptonian thing. I think I remember it from when there was talks about MoS launching the cinematic universe.... although I might be wrong here. I'm confident it goes back a long time, but memory is a treacherous thing.

I'd say it was a given that Zack friggin Snyder would give WW superpowers, not thinking so would just be needless worrying.

That was my line of thought too. Snyder wouldn't pass over the chance of having a second Faora. The question now is? Can he top her?
