From Superman, Batman will learn that it's okay to have "hope" and that he can, in fact, place his trust in other people.

If Wonder Woman is the daughter of Zeus, that means the Greek Gods exist. Does that then make Aquaman Posiden?

So WW's a goddess? No clay origin?

Yeah it appears Affleck was chosen specifically to have a contrast to Cavill’s Superman, in tone, age, and physical appearance.

Yep, versus them being nearly the same physically as they are in the comic books.

Plus as someone said, as big as Batman may look, based on that comic con clip's description, Superman be imposing himself.

That's why I'm thinking as well.

I like the Zeus origin over the clay origin. It's just better not from an understandable POV but just from the world she is in and from with Gods and stuff like that.

I'd have loved to see the clay origin. Suits' her much better.

No more than it would make Poison Ivy Demeter. Hehe. But I wonder where Atlantis will fit in in all this... assuming it will be there of course.

So happy that Diana is the daughter of Zeus. Greek mythology FTW.

I feared they wouldn't touch that stuff at all and just say "oh Wonder Woman is a Kryptonian!"

Urmm... why ?

You were not in favor of WW's clay origins ?

WW being a daughter of Zeus is the new 52 nonsense, it is a slap in the face of original mythology of WW. :cmad:

Because Azzarello's run. It made Wonder Woman a more solid character, not to mention it connected her more deeply into the mythological aspect of her character and both her and the story became better because of it.

Actually the clay origin was created during the Crisis revamp...the original stories were she was an amazon not a clay figure brought to life by the gods

I'm just glad the Kryptonian theory can be put to rest.

I wonder if that means she is going to be a COMPLETE adaptation of of the new 52 WW.

Del Toro directing + base it off Brian's WW = me having confidence in a WW film with Gadot as the lead.

pass on del toro. i'd rather that other awesome mexican, Cuaron. big budget sci-fi film with a female lead for WB. can't go wrong.

Can't say I'm bothered by Superman being a whopping two inches shorter than Batman.

If you look at old comics, both Batman and Superman have similar features (like brothers), in fact same actor could play both parts. :oldrazz:

So, some contrast in appearance (and age) was needed.
