And similarly, Brainiac's motivations are different from Ultron's motivations. You can debate all day whether one villain is comparable to another or not, but in the end it will be how they portray the villain on screen.

I never said Brainiac's motivations where the same as Ultron's. The two characters, besides being robots, couldn't be more different. In fact, if they ever met, Brainiac would probably try to eliminate Ultron for making an unnecessary mess of things.

What I am saying is, we can all debate about how villains are similar to or different from one another, but in the end we all fall back to our default position, and your default position seems to be "Everything DC is doing will be a copy of Marvel"

No it isn't. When have I ever said anything like that?

I personally want Starro.A Villain capable of Planet scale mind control.A Brainwashing plague unleashed.

I love Brainiac too but
Brainiac is my favorite Superman villain and one of my favorite DC villains so this rumor is impossible for me to ignore.

I want it so bad for him to finally be on the big screen. Anyone who draws up comparisons to Ultron, ***** please. Ultron is just the same old same old robot Skynet take over kill all humans ********. Brainiac is layered. He will destroy your world but first take a piece of your world to study it and learn about it. He's 10 times deadlier then Ultron. Ultron may destroy all humans, Brainiac would destroy the entire planet and steal a city from it.
you don't read comics..cool.

Oh God no. I never want to see the talking humanoid Starro. That was the absolute worst idea anyone at DC has ever had. Starro is not Skeletor sitting in his thrown room cackling maniacally. Starro is a giant flying starfish from space with thoughts that are alien and imperceptible to humans. Starro is Lovecraft, not Masters of the Universe.

For example, when Avengers came out and Loki said "Kneel", everyone said "Now how will Zod look when he says the same thing", simple solution - Zod never wanted any human to kneel before him.

Lol Zod said kneel on film 30 yrs before Loki did. Whether is was to a human or not. If someone is implying that DC copied Marvel on that line then they're either ignorant or lying.

not that i believe him, brainiac for JL would be a bad call because he's going to come off like a Ultron rip off. even though he's not exactly the same. it should be mongul with the warworld and some apokolips tech, ares, aquaman (initially) and the white martians.

starts off with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Hal starts off as an astronaut who gets his power ring on mars after abin sur dies fighting in the martian civil war, while on earth ares tries to start world war III by antagonizing Arthur.

by the end of you've got bats, wondy, supes, flash, gl, MM, Aquaman.

squeeze in a new gods movie in between bvs and jl if you have to showing darksied as the one behind it all.

i guarantee the next thing el maybe says is something about cumberbatch being wb's first choice, only to have cumby end up getting cast as martian manhunter which would be awesome and hilarious at the same time.
Ever heard the saying, "There is more than one way to skin a cat." ??????

BRAINIAC ISN'T EVEN A ROBOT!!!

Well in the main DCU and New 52 now.

I hope El Maybe is right. Brainiac if done right will be awesome

I'd prefer Brainiac for Supes next solo outing.

That and if El Maybe said it was sunny outside I'd actually open my curtains to check if that's true or not.

He should be, I think. I never liked the non-robot version of Brainiac. When he's a robot, then he is a logical machine that was designed by a computerized world stripped of its agency to acquire knowledge and bring order to a chaotic universe, a duty he fulfills without ego or malice. When he's not a robot, he's just a dick. Less interesting.

I love Brainiac too but you don't read comics..cool.

All of Ultron I've read is Age of Ultron. While I know the film won't be based off the book, I felt the book was a POS and turned me off of Ultron.

That isnt Starro. That is Starros primehost.Remember Starro controls millions of hosts. The pic shows his most powerful and deadly host.

Brainiac was confirmed as the original SR sequel villain, but I didn't exactly like the artistic approach.:nono:

I'd rather have chicken.

seriously though, it'll seem like old hat. I've had enough of the back and forth between marvel and dc, and this, however illogical it may seem is just going to add to it. I think he'd be more essential in a MoS sequel.

My non scientific breakdown of what chance for particular villain(s) in addition to Lex.

25% Metallo
25% Brainiac
25% Doomsday
25% 2 of the above mentioned in same movie.

I don't think Disney was trying to copy WB by having Loki tell some one to kneel before him. In fact it probably never occurred to them that is something Zod said.

All though Stan Lee has stated that he made changes to his comics to prove a point to WB who though they understood why Marvel was so successful. So who knows maybe they did it so that Man of Steel would opt to not use that line. Which I think would be hilarious if it were true. It would be a shiny example of another company exacting influence over a film that they have no control or rights to.

Which is still dumb because it humanizes Starro. Starro shouldn't have a prime host. Starro does not need a prime host. Starro is a giant starfish from space. If Starro absolutely needs to speak through one of the meat bags it controls, it should simply choose the most convenient one at the time to do so. Like I said, Starro is love craft. Personifying Cthullu is a bad idea.

Also, I looked it up and I was right. It is cannon now that Starro is a literal dude who controls all of the giant flying starfish with his mind.

That is dumb.

I'm leaving 0% they would go all in with Darkseid on a BvS movie before JL. That's just common sense.

pretty sure that was for burton's supes, though i did read singer say braniac would be the villain in the sequel.

Brainiac.jpg

though they probably did use the same inspiritation given how much mos suit looks like abrams flyby suit.

Now that i think about it, Brainiac would be the perfect Justice League villain if they're holding off on Darkseid. I hope it's true.

For Suicide Squad, im glad Deathstroke isn't a part of it. That's not one of the members i think of, when i think of that group.

I couldn't disagree more with this comment, especially in regard to the tone, which is actually the epitome of dark and serious.
I like Watchmen, but i don't love it. It's dark but i dont think it's very serious. It has the odd serious scene. But it's not a dark and serious film completely. Only sections.

That stupid beacon again??

Yeah we get it for you the sun shines out of Marvel's a$$ now are we done? if you want to talk Marvel there's' boards somewhere on the Hype for it.

Weird, the writers sai that it would be brainac but singer said earlier this year that he was going to use darkseid for his intended sequel.

I think the logic behind the fake scoop is that Brainiac would be in BvS, and also appear in a JL film with Darkseid. Lex of course working all possible angles :hehe:
