Really? That's it? That's your whole counter argument?

Some people hate Roy too, but they're not going to make Diggle the new Red Arrow/Arsenal to appease the haters.

Agreed. Whether Sarah dies or just written off she will not be BC for the rest of this series' run. This is as inevitable as death and taxes.

Wait. What? That statement makes no sense.

When did fans start wanting Diggle to become Red Arrow or Arsenal? Because a good amount of fans have enjoyed Sara as Black Canary and want her to stay.

So I sat watching the Q&A Stephen did at Dallas and as he was cracking the audience up, it struck me that Amell might be pretty good as the snarky wise cracking Arrow from the comics.

Also, remember that Raid redemption fight oliver did in episode 21, well Stephen said they'll be another raid redemption fight scene, on the stairs

He said on steroids, you silly. :funny:

Didn't notice this at all, saw someone else point it out. Kord Enterprises.

How awesome would it be to eventually get Blue Beetle on the show?

If people think that Laurel has issues now over the things that she's currently aware of, imagine what she would be like if she actually knew EVERYTHING about Oliver and Laurel. :o:oldrazz:

In regards to the whole Laurel= Black Canary belief, due to her name....

Honestly, I look at it like this. Take Erica's version of Lois....She wasn't placed in her iconic spot until 3 seasons after being introduced. Despite all of the strange story lines and scenarios they placed her in, she still exhibited a lot of the characteristics that her character was known to have and possess in the comics and other media.

Laurel on the other hand is seemingly growing farther than ever from the Black Canary character. I know the character is going through a rough time and all, but I haven't really seen anything "Black Canary" worthy of her since the scene where she defended Tommy and Oliver back in the night club.

And honestly, I don't really see Oliver ending up with either Sara or Laurel at this point. Best case scenario, he'll still be single at the end of the show and probably in the midst of running for becoming Mayor of Starling City.

That'd be a good way to end things. I'd prefer them to just leave the future open.

I don't really care if he ends up with anyone in the end since not like the two were together long term in the comics. They are constantly off and on and even their marriage didn't last long.

The first woman on the show to realize the one true love of Oliver Queen is ... Oliver Queen will gain major IQ points in my book. Of course I doubt the writers will ever let that happen.

I don't care to see the Mayor plot done again. I'd rather Oliver reveal his identity to the world in the last few episodes. Turn himself over to authorities. Face a prison sentence. And then Washington will offer him a deal to work for them as Arrow.

The best thing they could do with the Oliver character in the end is for him to come clean to the world and stop living a lie. It would be his redemption. Especially if the public supports him after all he's done. Plus they could work in the Supermax plot while he's serving jail time.

Maybe he should move to Florence Italy in the end?

I'd rather he take responsibility for all the blood on his hands and unlawful actions he's taken, than run away from it.

It would make the character stronger and paint him as a true hero, plus it would take a massive weight over Oliver's shoulders and give him redemption.

I think, in the end, there will be a lot of parallels between Oliver and Jack Bauer. Funny thing is Amell is a big 24 fan.

It makes me picture a scene like at the end of First Blood. Quentin leads Ollie out to the cops at the end of the series."Nothing is over!!!!"

No thanks.:oldrazz:

I've been watching Season One on Netflix, and while I may have tolerated Laurel more in that season, I did find her actually much less engaging than this season. I mean, here she annoys me, frustrates me, or very occasionally manages to make me empathize with her, but last season her screen time was pretty much guaranteed to be my surfing the web time. Tommy was the only unpredictable highlight to her subplots, and she tended to bring the later stories to a screeching halt when she appeared, particularly the last episodes, where just about every other cast member had a strong connection to the Undertaking except her.

And I still think Laurel's been given the short end of the story stick for most of this series.

Now I'm just trying to figure out whether it will be her, Felicity, or Thea who ends up being the one Slade will try and corrupt. I had fun last season calling Tommy's refusal of the dark side and death, and I want to keep the streak going. Right now my money is still on Thea post-Darth Malcolm's reveal, but I could be wrong.

I don't know when or how it happened, but Laurel has grown on me and for some strange reason i can not hate her. I should hate her, but i don't. Her transformation into Black Canary would be interesting to see(for me at least).

Yeah, he said the next action scene was described to him as the hallway fight from the Raid, but on steroids. And he said that it would destroy his body. :hehe:

Good catch, I'd love to see Blue Beetle recur on Arrow since I don't see him getting a movie any time soon.

Thanks for the correction :) either way its gonna be awesome

From the site that shall not be named. I would love it if they'd make Nyssa part of the Birds of Prey. What about you?

Is Arrow Gearing Up To Form A Bird’s Of Prey Which Includes Nyssa?

The Arrow production team and writers have been teasing the upcoming second half of season 2 on twitter. With the overwhelmingly positive reception of Caity Lotz's Black Canary and Katrina Law's Nyssa al Ghul, are the Arrow producers up to something bigger? Take a look at all the clues gathered in this article and judge for yourself in the comments below.

We all know that an upcoming episode of Arrow is titled “Birds of Prey”and will feature the Huntress and Black Canary side by side for the first time on screen since the failed WB Bird’s of Prey. Here are the first sneak peaks from the Arrow production team:

But what about Oliver’s rekindled relationship with Sara?
Arrow’s executive producer Marc Guggenheim tweeted the following:

We all know that Oliver will end up with LAUREL Lance and sadly not Sara Lance. Thus, its safe to say this is from a dialogue between Ollie and Laurel, meaning Sara and Oliver are just a temporary flame. This leaves the door for Nyssa to come back and swoop in.

Nyssa’s role on Arrow is much greater than we have been told.

In the episode “Heir to the Demon", Nyssa’s passport had been flagged by ARGUS, which seems to indicate that the government is fully aware of the League of Assassins and that their activities have been a threat to national security (Terrorists?). This could be setting up for the League of Assassin's to become the villains of Season 3.

At the end of the episode, Nyssa goes into a deep reflection of her father’s values and how it has cost her her relationship with her “beloved” Sara, after Sara could not take the killing. Nyssa even sheds a tear as she releases Sara from the league. Considering we’ve already been told that Katrina Law returns after the 18th episode of this season, it is not impossible for Nyssa to follow the route of her comic book counterpart and cut ties with her father, and come back to Starling City. Nyssa probably does not know a lot people outside of the league, thus the natural thing for her to do is return to Sara and begin a new “non-killing” path.

Let’s hear from Caity Lotz (Sara) herself on how she was approached for the role: (Here is a transcript from her Interview with LA times)

There's an upcoming episode called "Birds of Prey," like the DC Comic featuring Black Canary and Huntress. So we're going to see Black Canary and Huntress team up?

Lotz: Um ... you're definitely going to see the two. You'll see them together, that's for sure. And they'll have some interaction. But you'll have to see what that is. We actually haven't shot it yet. But we will, very soon. I haven't met Jessica [De Gouw, who plays Huntress], but everyone says she's an awesome girl.

When you got the role, did you do a deep-dive into comics history?

Lotz: Oh yeah, DC sent me a bunch of "Green Arrow" and "Black Canary" comics, and also "Birds of Prey" comics. I checked those out and gleaned what she was all about. I didn't put pressure on myself to know the whole history of the character, but I did want to understand her emotional history. I did want to make sure I represented her strength. I didn't want to be a fake superhero, a girl who's not tough but she's still running around with her staff. I really wanted her to be strong. That was the thing I wanted to capture: strong and capable.

What if GOTHAM is part of the DCCU?

Stephen Amell was one of the first people to congratulate Ben Mckenzie on his new role as Gotham’s Jim Gordon. He didn’t just congratulate him, he welcomed Mckenzie to the DCU. Hmmm...

So if they are all part of one universe, could we see the Bird’s Of Prey form a nest in a Gotham without Batman? Someone has to fight the Penguin... right?. Personally I’d rather have the Arrow and Flash remain separate from Gotham, and have the Bird’s Of Prey remain in the Arrow universe or perhaps... Bludhaven.

Hop into the DC Universe means that Mckenzie is playing a DC character, nothing more.

Fox was involved in a massive bidding war for Gotham. No way they'll bend over backwards to fit the series in with the CW shows from a different production team.

Nyssa on the BOP? I actually hadn't thought of that, but it would be interesting. In the comics, Lady Shiva joined the BOP for awhile and formed a sort of friendship with Black Canary, so it's no unprecedented to have morally-hazy characters on that team.

Good point.

They don't need to even do that since I doubt Bruce is a child in the Arrowverse.
